Great choice for places to eat.
Great choice for places to eat. The walks around the area are so scenic but hard going if you are not used to hiking. Lots of places where you can just sit in peace and quiet. Worth a walk up to Berry Head and the forts. Some nice nature walks as well. Also walk up to the Battery and the coves just further along the coast path.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk. It's a lovely town that does not have the winter shut down feel of some other coastal towns in the UK, probably because it is also a working port town so never really completely switches off. We ate in La Petit Maison and Rock Fish; both fabulous restaurants that I can highly recommend and drinks/cocktails in Liberties on the Harbour front; also very much recommended.

We were returning to visit relatives.
We were returning to visit relatives. Brixham is an historical fishing village with a great deal of character. There are many lovely places to visit in the area which are not too far from Brixham. The coast is lovely with lots of places to walk and enjoy the seascape. During the summer you can take a trip on the Western Lady crossing over to Torquay. There are a selection of local shops were you can stock up on provisions without the need to go too far. You can also enjoy a trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, joining at the station stop on Dartmouth Road. Kingswear is a short drive where there are beautiful views of the River Dart and neighbouring Dartmouth accessible by car or foot passenger ferries.

We liked the ease of access to all aspects of the town. The walk round the harbour to Shoalstone Pool and on to Berry Head is lovely. Lots to see. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Brixham to suit all tastes and budgets.

Loved it quant interesting not commercial. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants. It was Autumn when we visited and the town had slip into its winter mode. Restaurants and shops closed earlier than we expected. Best to check opening times. We enjoyed eating in The Birdcage pub restaurant. As one would expect Brixham its hilly. Plenty of walks but we did not have time to take advantage of many. We will definitely be going back my favourite place in DevonBetty - 10Scored 10

Loved Liberty's, Birdcage and all the lush shops and Gallery's. Everyone made us all feel so welcome a home away from home. A fab mediterranean restaurant in the harbour can highly recommend a visit to. All in all a fab friendly place to visit and stay and then return.

Our room was immaculate, lovely and modern with everything you could ask for, bath robes were even supplied for the mini spa facilities, they really have thought of everything. The breakfast choices available are the best we’ve ever seen and we weren’t disappointed when it arrived, delicious. We stayed at number 6 - it was modern, clean and had everything we needed inside. Jihan was always a message away, fast at replying and so friendly. We told her that it was a get away for our early anniversary and we were welcomed with a card and a few gifts! I would definitely recommend and come back to Wavecrest. Wonderful bathroom and kitchen area, although no cooktop. We managed as we didn’t want to be eating 3 meals outside. So we saved ourselves for lovely dinners in the good restaurants. It was a great location near the Quay and the grocery shop was just down the street. The view out the windows were spectacular as it over looks the Quay. I’d stay here again!!!!

Breakfast was excellent, couldn't thought it. Rooms all ensuite, we were in room 4, we had a side sea view. Gary and Sara very friendly and welcoming, they live next door, but you have your own keys to come a go as you like. Views from rooms are wonderful.

However, this was by far the best and our favourite. Our hosts, Hervé and Natalie, were incredible, they were very welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Our room had an amazing view of the Harbour and was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was incredible and the best we have had.

I've had the best full English breakfast from all the places I've been in the last few years. Room was up to high standards, very clean and the bed was very comfortable with a high quality mattress. Rooms have a mini fridge and tv. It is in the center of Brixham, so there are many bars and beaches in the walking distance.

Great location and good on site facilities whilst still being a nice quiet break. Passes to use the pool etc came in at under £10 each for the week. Sharkham point carpark is the best place to park if you don't want to walk down to St Mary's bay and it's free. Would love to stay again!
