Clean room, location Bed was rock hard and pillows flat and worn out. Squat little double room where the curtains wouldnt close properly and the shower just about trickled out. Car parks front and rear were always full and a nightmare to find somwhere to leave the car.Staff were friendly and did their best, but mainly young girls who really didn't have a clue what the meaning of 'customer service' meant! Full enliglish buffet style, products looked good but just cold by the time you got on your plate and back to table. Second day ordered poached eggs from kitchen, one just cooked other raw on top. Both myself and partner had bad tums second day. Complained about the bed and was told 'give you a discount next time' There won't be a next time!!!!

The staff were all friendly and helpful. There was plenty to eat at breakfast and the hot selection was very tasty. We ate three evening meals in the restaurant which were very good. We were able to walk into the town, surrounding areas and on to the beautiful beaches which made our holiday very enjoyable. We could not get wifi reception in our bedroom.

Good location, easy to find and a relaxed atmosphere, the food was faultless. Our room wasn't quite to the standard portrayed on the photo website very misleading, I did expect to have a view to some decscription not a brick wall and it was very noisy from the people above us and the kitchen staff as our room was beside the kitchen!

Decent size room When we came to breakfast room the only welcome was: what is your room number?...quite disappointing. Bang on 9:30 in the morning staff started to pack up breakfast buffet despite quite a few guests still sitting there eating, unlucky if you came to eat just before 9:30. Service was a big let down.

Location and stunning views over the bay. Nearness of the centre of St Ives. A bit old fashion. Restaurant was expensive for Dinner. Food however was quite good.

Friendly and efficient staff. Clean and comfortable - although single room was `very compact`, specially shower and toilet area. Would have prefered `cooked to order breakfast` but buffet was adequate and substantial Coffee at breakfast was awful - lukewarm and `stewed`. On third day, after I complained, the staff - kindly - made me an individual cafetiere, which was much appreciated. I`m confident other guests would prefer this too.

The hotel fulfilled all our expectations and we really enjoyed our stay. We were given an upgraded room at no extra cost and without us asking. The staff were all most helpful and friendly,we would definately stay here again.A Perfect location and very quiet. Our daughter and son in law found their standard room fairly small as was the bathroom, luckily the weather was good and the room was only used for sleeping.

Good and plenteous breakfast buffet. Room sold as one with a view of ocean - however, only a small part of ocean water acutally visible, the rest hidden behind a corner of the building and trees. Room was not clean, the matress saggy, the door to the toilet did not close, there was no hairdryer in the room, one of the reading lamps over the bed did not work and the free wifi did not work in the room. The hotel is completely overpriced.

Decent location, people were friendly and gave us nicer room when original room smelled of paint after recent re-painting. WiFi never worked while there 3 nights and was turned away from dinner in hotel one night because 'they'd not put out enough food' and we'd not booked.

We had a super room overlooking the bay. Breakfast was good. Overall I would say that it was good value for money and within an easy walk of all the facilities of St Ives. The bar was not the best I've ever been in, bit like a cafe with not enough furniture.

Room 5 first floor great view of sea and close to Porthminster beach and coastal walk, easy to park outside night door man good breakfast good The room was not made up one day, and the cleaning seemed a bit sparse the beds were not firm, too old the bar and restaurant lacked atmosphere, very plastic day staff lacked local tourist knowledge and town knowledge staff made little effort to help espcially as there was no wifi connection or shared internet connection

An excellent place for access to both the culture and beaches of St. Ives and the country of the Cornish Coast Path and other places. We used the local open top bus which is only minutes walk away to return from stretches of hiking. We were paticularly impressed by the delicious food at the Bistro Restaurant where we happily dined on four nights in a row. The fish dishes, indeed all dishes were very good indeed, and we were pleased we had pre-booked to "eat in" every evening. We had booked for friends to stay at the same time and were thoroughly pleased with our choice on their behalf as well. We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. We are walkers and therefore enjoyed the fact it was quiet and away from the bustle of the centre of St. Ives. It was not a long walk, but maybe for people with restricted mobility, it would seem so. However, you can get a car right up to the door.

The sea-wiew room was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant served good food, well prepared, if a bit pricey when there were no deals on offer. For breakfast there was a good selection and generous portions. It must be realised that the hotel is at the top of the town and the walk back up after dinner at the quayside (well worth the effort) requires considerable puff if you're not too fit. However, the view from the room made up for the effort - the dawns were lovely.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good and the location was nice. We could just get a view of the sea down the side of the building, and car parking was very limited.
