I would come back for calm leisure weekend
Warm welcome Nice pool Comfortable Rooms Great breakfast service
We are all in our late fifties, early sixties, and they were like our Guardian Angels. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them, from dealing with my oxygen supplies, to getting a good price for my friends car (she drove it down to sell!) , to making our disabled friend very welcome (we specifically came down to visit him). Endless cups of tea, and lots of advice on local hot spots, and not to mention the personal advise which was given and gratefully received. The most surprising thing? The small decanter of Sherry with two glasses, sitting on the dressing bureau! Such a wonderful touch!!. Do go - I guarantee a most remarkable experience. Oh and Mischief and Flora (the cows), came along and made friends with my husband Sandy!
The fact that we couldn't spend Christmas there with this lovely family, in their beautiful house which I suspect would be gorgeous at Christmas!
We stayed here for one night - sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. The rooms were very comfortable, you're greeted with a very warm welcome and the breakfast sets you up for the day. Enjoyed the heated pool and everything about Cilpost's location. The owners were friendly and charming.
Warm welcome and a cup of tea! Lovely hosts. Offered choice of attractive rooms. Opportunity to swim in the indoor pool. Peaceful countryside. Suggestions about evening dining. Brilliant breakfast!
The hosts were charming and very relaxed. They gave us a fabulous breakfast and made us feel very welcome. The setting was beautiful and reasonably easy to find. It was a very convenient location.
Everything, very kind hosts, couldn't do enough to help us and made sure we enjoyed our stay.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely presented and use of a lounge gave space to relax. Breakfast was good. The dining arrangements were farmhouse style, so no individual tables, but this encouraged chatting between guests which is often non existent these days. There is a swimming pool available for guest's to use.
No facilities for making our own drinks in the room. The en suite door stuck at the top and the shower cubicle door stuck at the bottom. I had to shout for my husband to rescue me so thank goodness I wasn't on my own!
We loved staying at the farm especially with the use of the Swimming Pool. This was so unique! We loved the hearty, generous breakfast, the hospitality and humour of the owners. The guests we met were very friendly and we enjoyed our chats at breakfast sharing our experiences. We loved the local area with its wonderful landscape and architecture etc. One place which is a 'must' to visit is Martins Haven where they have grey seals and their pups basking on the sand.
Cannot really fault anything from the moment we arrived until the sad day of leaving. The premises have been transformed into a very warm, homely place to stay and you are made to feel part of the family as soon as you arrive. Really can't speak highly enough of our stay and would recommend the Cilpost Farm Guest House for a relaxing, home from home break.
Having to leave
We had a wonderful stay, a fabulous warm welcome wish we could have stayed for longer. Would recommend to anyone. It's in a brilliant location for anyone wanting to see what wales has to offer. Would definitely come back
We loved the garden and swimming pool. rooms were clean although ours was alittle small.
I would have liked a hair dryer not curling brush. would have liked a better shower.
Lovely pool which I used morning and evening. Good information pack with history of the Welsh dragon. In the countryside yet not in the middle of nowhere - so peaceful and beautiful; very easy to find. Garden was very neat and attractive. Welcoming hosts. Excellent price with delicious breakfast. Fluffy large bath and hand towels. Good liquid soaps. Easy come / go.
Too short a stay.
Ann and Gwyn met us with a lovely cup of tea and cake. Very friendly welcome. Lovely people, house and swimming pool. Great place to stay whilst discovering Pembrokeshire. Would recommend it and stay here again.
Nothing to dislike. Would of liked kettle and tea/coffee in room. But everything else great.
This is a real gem in the South Welsh countryside. Close to the coast but away from the crowds of Tenby, lovely owners who make you feel welcome, beautiful surroundings and perfect Welsh breakfasts. Oh and the pool is a big plus too! We'll be back!
Wifi and phone reception wasn't great in our room but this turned out to be a plus as it made us go offline for a few days! You can get wifi in other areas of the b&b though.
Everything from the warm welcome and lovely hosts, peacefulness yet central to many of the must see towns and the coast. Very homley feel - felt like a family member and treated like royalty!
Poor mobile signal - but ideal for a proper break!
Family feel, peaceful farmhouse off the beaten track. A home from home. Beautiful countryside.
No tea/coffee facility in bedroom (although a carafe of brandy and glasses are there!). You really need a car to stay here.
The warm welcome....great breakfast.....fabulous views and the friendly helpful owners who made a real difference to our stay.
I was asked to arrive at 6.30pm as the owners were going out at 7 so we had a rush to get there. We had wanted some information but there wasn't anyone to ask (as by that time they had gone out) and unfortunately the folder with the information we wanted was hidden in a drawer (which we found as we were about to leave)and not left out. There were no tea/coffee making facilities which I would state is standard today. The rooms in the main house are a little outdated and I was shocked that there are only 2 tables in the dining room so guests are expected to share at breakfast. Having said that, when we objected, we were given a table on our own.
Beautiful, quiet, relaxing surroundings. Very warm welcome. Stunning location.
There was nothing not to like.
A friendly, efficient and very comfortable stay. Attentive without being fuss, I was made welcome then left to my own devices. Perfect.
Peace and quiet, use of the pool, excellent breakfast.
We had difficulty finding the farmhouse, but the owners were very helpful when contacted via phone.
good location very clean and tidy excellent breakfast good hosts
decor a bit tired ,could do with kettle with tea and coffee in rooms, and a hair dryerrather than hair curlers.
