Apartment very clean, spacious & comfortable. Central location. Staff very polite, professional & helpful. Pefect experience!
CITADINES BARBICAN IS NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY HOTEL ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. THE ROOMS ARE NOT SPACIOUS AND CLEANING SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE ONCE A WEEK.
Location and brekfast. Value for money.
Our first room was small, needed updating and fold down bed which was notexpected. No hot water which was rectifued by upgrade to new refurbished room. Staff were accomodating.
Good isolated windows so we couldn't here any noise from the street. 100m from Barbican Underground, 10 minutes walk from St. Paul and 3 min. from a little Tesco. The apartment was perfect for a family of 4, with a well-equipped little kitchen
The furniture was quite old.
Location is great, the size of the rooms good and very clean.
Noisy maids in the morning and didn't knock before entering the room.
Shabby, worn fixtures and fittings
Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a family emergency and had to stay a few extra days and they managed to sort things so we could stay in the same room at the last minute. They really looked after us. For London price was good but a little steep for me. The had everything my daughter and I needed while visiting family. Security good and again Great location.
Luckily my sister lives around the corner or the laundry facility would have bankrupt us. The cooking area a little tight.
Very clean Efficient easy check in Comfortable room & bedding Great kitchenette Reception staff excellent Breakfast lady excellent
Being woken by cleaning staff trying the door early morning Consequently not getting our towels changed or beds made despite asking the chambermaid
1 bedside table in a twin room
Liked everything about this hotel, good location close to Kings Cross, and excellent value for money. Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Would certainly use this hotel again on a future stay in London.
Room was too warm with no apparent way of altering the air conditioning, so had to sleep with the balcony door open, which in turn meant traffic noise.
The cleanliness was very good.
The room did not have air-conditioning so it was very hot. However, the receptionist when I arrived was awful. I asked when breakfast started and was told 7am. I explained to the receptionist that I had to be at a meeting at 7 and was it possible to have something a bit earlier as i am diabetic and need to eat. The receptionist promptly told me no there was nothing she could do!!! I am fairly sure that a hotel of your calibre could have arranged for me to have a little something to eat. This was particularly disappointing as I ended up being late for my meeting as I had to eat at 7 before going. I would not stay with you again because of this experience.
Perfect location, lovely staff.
No air conditioning which made for uncomfortable nights when the bedding consists of a bottom sheet and duvet. It was a bedsit, not an apartment. Once the bed was dropped into place, there was very little room. Wish I'd known both of these things before booking.
Excellent little apartment, great value for money, will be returning next month hopefully.
Kettle was broken and there was no replacements to have my morning brew.
As it was central, there was plenty of near shops. The general quality of the rooms was good.
There seemed to be an extractor fan above the hob but I couldn't find a switch to activate it (whilst cooking). Wifi regularly dropped out. A couple of unclean spots (possibly mould) in the bathroom. No complimentary biscuits (minor, but nice to come in to if hungry from journey before meal).
It was a clean hotel.
Not worth the money.
Convenient location, nice staff, clean room and value for money.
£12 for that breakfast was a rip off.
I liked the kitchenette facilities and security of the premises.
location professional staff good soundproofing its a step up from a bed factory good security rooms not huge but they were comfortable having a studio was a bonus very very clean
too many doors
Good location for my business trip. next to Barbican Station. Well equipped mini kitchen and a supermarket nearby. Clean room and a good sized desk if you need to work.
Thin walls meant I heard neighbours music at odd hours.
It was really great and would use again but the shower didn't work so had to take bath as was in a rush in the morning....it was the only thing that took the shine off a really great stay.
Staff were extremely friendly
top floor room (705) with great view. room was very large for london with excellently equiped kitchen area and bathroom.
nothing bad to be said about this hotel... a bar would have been nice in the lobby though.
Great place to stay, very convenient for the Tube and excellent value. Will be staying there every time we travel to London.
