Room was in a quiet area as we asked for and spotlessly clean. Lots of power points and storage facilities. Bed was a bit firm for us but lovely pillows. No complaints at all. Coffee in reception was a nice touch.
Great location - near subway station Barbican, near Tesco express. You can go to to center by foot (few minutes to St. Paul cathedral and Millenium bridge).
The bed was so comfy and the room quite modern and very clean for london. Stayed here for a concert at o2 islington which was a 15/20 min bus ride away or a 20/25 min walk. Also easy to get into the centre of london on a bus.
Its location was perfect for us as we had to go to the Russian Visa Centre which was just around the corner plus we were able to pre book a car park space under the hotel and we had our two dogs with us which we were able to take into our room for a small additional charge.
Convenient for my business trip, reasonably good value by London standards
Corridor carpeting was very shabby. While location was very convenient for where I was going the next day, it is not an area of London I would particularly want to stay in otherwise. I have had better value breakfast at much smarter London hotel
Comfortable bed, quiet room, adequate kitchenette and bathroom
Staff at front desk not particularly courteous; some problem with my payment which had already been made through Booking.com but was queried with a frown. When I questioned if everything was alright as there was such a long delay while she frowned at the computer screen, I was simply dismissed, no apology or explanation and left none the wiser as to what the issue was apart from a curt reference to the website(?). At no point was I even asked if I'd enjoyed my stay....
Small but comfortable, good location, very good staff
Being left to it and having kitchen facilities, so work could be done in the evenings.
It was all we wanted
Pillows not to be liking
Clean comfortable bed
Only 2 tea bags, not replaced for 2nd day.
This hotel is conveniently located 2 minutes from Barbican tube, and has convenience stores close by. Room had everything needed - including iron. Bed was reasonably firm, and had well-filled pillows - but this was comfortable for me. No cleanliness issues with the room, and the addition of a desk and chair was very welcome.
Wifi, although free, was sometimes slow and dropped out regularly. Shower was VERY powerful and felt like a water cannon - was no way to control this. It had also started to come away from the wall - probably due to the pressure!
Clean, quiet, spacious and in a great location
location to tube, nice clean room, WiFi.
bed a little too hard, shortage of places to eat close by.
Staff were lovely, everything was thoroughly enjoyable throughout the stay, I loved it and it is on my list for another visit.
Nothing - it was all good !!
Convenient location, clean and quiet
Room a little crumped
Friendly staff and very helpful. Nice comfy beds.
Had to ask to move rooms as despite booking a twin was put in a double. The carpets were not clean looking so decided not to take shoes off and go bare foot.
Near metro station Fair 'cause was Christmas period
Bad Wifi, signal only at the bathroom Before the main room there was a smell like coming from the drainage!!
- Close to City - Option to self cater at a basic level - Clean and comfortable - Staff are very polite professional and helpful
- Both times I stayed the room selected was not the room I was given e.g, double booked twin allocated. This was rectified on request and without fuss. - Normal price is very high for what is effectively 3 star hotel standard with a basic kitchenette
Great friendly staff, clean and comfortable room.
Staff were always smiling and helpful. Location was good. Seemed very quiet. Having a bath was a major plus! The clothesline in the bathroom is also a very good addition.
Self-service laundry facilities are available, but it costs £9 for a single wash and dry, and there is only one washing machine and one dryer available. Was not notified which day housekeeping would be cleaning. Information card given to me at check in was in French?? No spatula or cooking utensils provided, only cutlery.
Very handy for Barbican centre and transport connections. Quiet and comfortable.
The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean
They lost both mine and my colleague's bookings (I had placed both separately on booking.com) resulting in a long wait to check in. They didn't add our details to the system so that when checking out they had no record of our booking. Once left, I received an email saying that my colleague was a 'no show' and that they had charged him, despite him having stayed there for the previous two nights and having paid already at reception. I am still waiting on them confirming a refund after speaking to them on the phone twice and emailing multiple times.
Good location Facilities and room arrangement Friendly, professional staff Close to Tube and Tesco express
Location, size of the room, having free hot chocolate or coffee when it was so cold outside :-)
I know I won't be reasonable in saying this but I still feel that £91 is a lot of money for a night.
Location is great! Kitchen is small but convenient. Room is small but cozy!
No room cleaning every day but it does not matter. We will stay here next time when we visit London.
