Great little hotel, more than exceeded our expectations on every level. Excellent value and super helpful, friendly staff.
A nice family-run hotel within a very easy reach from the city centre. Rooms are clean and comfy, and the staff are extremely friendly. Elodie and John did everything to ensure that we had an excellent stay, including some handy tips on the currency exchange and getting around the city. Moreover, we were offered to pay the single-day Wi-Fi rate for the entire 4-day stay which was a deal! I would definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for a calm and value-for-money hotel in Manchester.
Rainy weather is always a let-down in Britain let alone that it was quite a short stay))
Female staff was very rude, proud and abusive! Environment not safe for children even female adult. I had to pay £6.00 extra for checking in late! Food was awful, in a hostile environment!
Staff are so so nice.
A few stairs more then we expected, and shower wasn't very clean, but for the price it was amazing
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Exceptional value for money. You will not find better budget accommodation. Breakfast was very good yet cheap. Easy access 2 Manchester by bus.
Its shocking for such a hostel be named hotel.its a waste of money checked out immediately could not expect to sleep on a bunck bed in the name of hotel even hostels could not have such as a bed its really a bad experiece couldnt stay am hour
Nothing about such place
The coffe, tea and breakfast price are cheap...
Staff tried their best even if she did charge £6 every hour you checked out late!
The cleanliness and facilities this hotel offered were frankly abhorrent! The floor boards were dirty, the whole place stunk of chip fat and I found a pubic hair in the shower. The food was bland and our sink had a crack in. Those who had shared bathrooms couldn't use it because the shower was out of order. Our view from our room was the local funeral directors which made me feel morbid. By the reception there was a dark stair case that lead to god knows where! It was covered in news paper and I thought it was an underground passage to the funeral directors.
The room was clean and on the ground floor, was kept warm and private. The bathroom was on the 1st floor and was very clean. Owners were very helpful booked us a taxi and made sure we were aware of everything. Breakfast was offered at a good price and standard. Good location for town centre. All together, for the price, a welcome stay.
There's not much I didn't really like everything was good for what we needed it for.
The hotel is near City centre and has an access to main road
Very bad beds and stairs as well
Location. Staff were excellent
The staff were really friendly and helpful and were always around if we needed anything. They helped us book taxis and they were a pleasure. The room was great value for money with modern private bathroom, great tv and a heater to keep it nice and cosy.
No glasses in the room for water but as soon as we asked they were provided. Only one pillow each. No soap provided for shower.
The staff were lovely and very helpful
The premises should be advertised as a guesthouse or b&b. Although it was clean, the shower and window alot mould
Nice friendly staff but could do with some help on how to run a hotel!!. Nice food. Appeared nice in reception area!
Room - 2 double beds crammed into a attic! Was meant to be a family room! Damp patches on wall and black, poor deco, sink in shower room cracked and big chunk missing out of it! No kettle or tea making facilities, no signal on TV. Dining area consisted of 3 small and wobbly round tables with wobbly stools!! Needs alot of improvement!!!
The room was clean and we had fresh towels daily.
The bed was really uncomfortable.
Elody & John who runs the place has the warmest caring hearts of gold:) Best service I ever had! Spotless rooms and bathroom!:) Quiet area and room and I had the room towards the traffic but wasnt disturbed at all, cause its no reason to use sirens there so the traffic is just calming smooth:) Library for internet and a shopping-center and a market with everything:) And 2 great pubs in a minutes distance. Nice lovely safe cosy area. I'll come back just to say hi!:) Loved it!!!:)
After 11.30 there is no buses any longer so you have to take a taxi that costs 10. But its a so very short ride and the bus-stop is just outside so its no problems at all, only nicer not to stay in the middle of Manc.
Lady on desk was friendly enough which is where it ended!
I wash least impressed when I saw the room, poor decor, old and appeared unwashed bath towels and bedding, shower room with hardly any space to move(I'm only 5ft), cracked and dirty tiles falling off the walls, shower tray that took ages to drain away which a health and safety issue, not enough ventilation to get rid if the steam from hot shower which incidentally linked like if was designed in the 70s. The hotel which I'm shocked it is classed as was very noisy during the night and as I had a 5 year old child with me neither of us slept well. The blinds in the bedroom looked like they were about to fall down and were damaged. When I handed the keys in no one asked me how my stay was or if everything was ok? I Enquires about a veggie breakfast but they didn't have any veggie sausages! Avoid this place sf all costs, I have taken photos and talking this further.
It was warm
Location was further than expected, small rooms, good do with renovation, painted etc
the girl that work in the reception
the boy friend..
Short taxi drive from city centre Friendly accommodating staff Clean rooms & facilities
Rooms are compact so if there are 3 of you there's not much room to change & get ready
The couple running the hotel are very nice and cook very delicious meals; everything was home made, excellent and very cheap. They were very welcoming and créate a cosy environment; I would recommend it to anybody. Five-minute from the city centre by bus.
Maitress was very old and uncomfortable
Staff very friendly Price for breakfast amazing If I ate that food would/could have been lovely I didn't eat I am vegan I ate out I think staff would have helped with my bag if I had asked, but for only one night it was fine
Old house Very squished furniture in room No space Mattress horrid I didn't bring bag in due to horrid stairs Overly cluttered room No room for a chair
We were able to check in at 11.30 pm Staff were really friendly Good breakfast Very clean
