Everything but it was strange
Loved the designer furniture and the 24 hour bar and café, and the staff were the best ever
the pod like bathroom is a bit strange if you're staying with a friend
Love staying here, comfiest bed ever, tablet was great to control everything thing, would defiantly stay here again.
When you come out lift it says sign for iron but that is the only sign, room looks like a fire exit door so wouldn't go in there, had to phone reception to find out here it was.
The room is the perfect size. The staff were really helpful. We were given loads of help for different things and it was all done with a smile. Been here a few times and it's always perfect!
Very trendy and fun hotel! Great concept and made us feel welcome.
This was not what I expected based on prior travel to the UK! The hotel was modern, comfortable, clean and beautiful! I will travel back just to enjoy the bed and the lights and the bar! I LOVED it.
Room controls Check in Staff
Toilet /shower in room
A great place to stay if you are alone and travelling light. It's trendy and minimal, (aspects that I love) (It's about the size of a shipping container) Check in is also electronic, with about 8 self serve computers in the main foyer. The staff are friendly and helpful and will assist you if you have difficulties. I have found it hard to rate this hotel as it fits the bill in many ways - very clean, great location, arty and trendy.
The rooms are small and the large bed is literally wall to wall. So, if there was a second person they would have to clamber over the first to get into bed. There is a 'pod' containing the shower and toilet but the small washbasin is in the room with only a curtain to screen it off if necessary. A tablet is provided to activate the TV/Radio/Lighting/Aircon so if you're not into technology you may find any of these tasks difficult. but the small rooms, albeit that they are well designed, are not what I like even when travelling alone. If I'd been with my husband he would have hated it.
Big bed, shower and relaxation of lounge area
Pad for controlling television radio etc, very temperamental!
The hotel was fantastic, very modern and comfortable. Will be back
Public spaces and sitting areas
Modern; Arty; Different; Lots of public areas to sit and relax; Staff very helpful
More required: Wardrobe space in bedroom Litter bins in bedrooms Tea making facilities Radio function - which did not work
Clean. Location. Friendly staff.
The price was high. Breakfast should be included. Some tea or cofee should be in room.
Staff were excellent. Room was fantastic. Hotel decor looked great. Location was brilliant, literally round the corner from Sauchiehall Street and just down the road from Buchanan Bus Station & Buchanan Galleries.
WIFI was a bit disappointing, connection kept dropping out but nothing major.
We liked the IPad in the room it's an excellent idea and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and the security system having to swipe your room card for lifts/room is excellent.
The bed is not very easy to get in and out of as it is situated against a wall therefore no room to go around it. Also we feel that a good feature would be tea/coffee making facilities.
Bed, location and free movies. Public spaces and computers great. Good meals.
Might be a squeeze for 2 due to bed configuration. Wifi breakdown and sone times slow response from tablet.
the location, the large king size bed, the breakfast, the room control using tablet - it's pretty cool
sink is placed outside the shower room/toilet area and i wish they would keep the remote for the tv instead of using the tablet.
Very comfortable, rooms very good value for money. Very clean and stylish
Wifi poor Location not flattering Drinks pricy
The rooms were clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to stay in a modernistic hotel.
We were in a business trip and paying only by card caused some problems. We wait a lot for check-in because the self check-in was time consuming and also the customers in front of us were not accustomed with this procedure. We ordered in advance through reception a taxi for the airport. But at 6 AM, there was no taxi and nobody at reception. Finally we found at the second floor an employee who was able to call another taxi. Some useful little things (shoeshine sponge, shower cap) were not available.
This was our first time staying at the citizen m, we booked here as it was recommended to us, we weren't disappointed we've had a great couple of days and would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The friendly staff and edgy design
The bedroom was very small
Difficult to park van!
CitizenM hotel is not an easy place to describe. It is high tech, you check yourself in, we needed help because our credit card wasn't the euro (chip) variety. Staff is available and so very helpful it takes your breath away. (I would give the staff an 11 if possible). The rooms are very different from what some might think of as a hotel room. It is really very minimalist pod. That said, we stayed 6 days and have NEVER been so totally comfortable in a hotel. The toilet/shower pod is translucent. The large bed, and the most amazing linens and pillows added to the comfort. Everything is run by tablet. What is important to understand is the the hotel is designed for real human comfort. To that end, there is nothing you do not need. But everything you do need is there. If the rooms are minimal the common areas more than make up for it. This place is for interaction between people. The entire place is decorated with some of the most beautiful modern furniture that I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. Iconic pieces that I have only dreamed of using were there. Books on art and architecture were there to enjoy. The cafe was very well run and the choices were wonderful. This place is total, brilliant design. I would return in a heartbeat. I may not not recommend it to those people I know who we more that willing to sacrifice good design and their own comfort for chintz and doilies, without understanding the difference.
The only thing that surprised me was that the carpet in the cafe, near the window, was soiled. Also, the two pieces of soft furniture in our room could do with a scrub.
really like the modern rooms, and also chill out areas
Comfy bed Funky shower Good wifi (if not using the in-room tablet)
No real space for clothes if staying more than one night
