Great experience as usual - I always stay here when in London on business. It's close to the City, and to the great nightlife on the south bank in the evening. Breakfast is always amazing if you like your full English!
Not sure whether it was just my room, but the power of the shower seemed to have been turned down to little more than a drizzle. Sometimes the high tech room controls can be a bit too much / go wrong
futuristic, elegant, a little decadent, mood lighting, superb staff, great food, great free movie choice
a little trouble controlling the room temperature ,
Excellent location, staff was great. Wifi 5 starts
Design of hotel
Cheap quality sheets and pillows. Flooring of hallways was noisy and seemed slightly unstable
helpful staff / 24 hour facilities
wash basin in room not in bathroom mini omelette everyday for breakfast. no traditional 'English' marmalade. very slow uploading for tv
Large beds and a really modern, fun atmosphere.
Rooms a little small for two people. Tablet controller for TV, lighting etc didn't work properly
I enjoyed the large bed. The rainfall shower was also nice. 2 free cocktails was an added plus. The bar and waiting/lounge downstairs was nice as well. The location, room amenities, and price make it a nice deal for a hip and modern hotel.
Nothing really to dislike about the hotel. Rooms were a bit small but just like any London hotel room.
Very nice clean and comfortable Room were small but big enough Free movies was nice touch as was wifi Great breakfast and bar area Very trendy would reccomend and stay again
fantastic location we loved the concept of the of the hotel great staff very helpful lots of space downstairs to lounge. eat have a drink really lovely atmosphere in the whole hotel we will defiantly booking again in the near future
the only problem that we had was very minor was a slightly erratic tv that would only sometimes turn on and then turn itself off when you were watching it
My partner fell unwell and Oliver and Olga (front desk) were absolutely amazing and exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to assist with organising medical care for him. They followed up with services and checked on us continuously. I cant thank them enough in helping us with a stressful situation and for their attentive support. Please pass on this feedback to them and all the staff at the bar as they were all amazing and helpful.
Would be nice to have face washer size towels in the rooms. Also the hot breakfast was exactly the same everyday and after a few days it gets a bit monotonous and would be good to have at least one new hot dish available each day? Would have been great to have a suitcase rack so as not to have to bend to floor level.
Location was excellent and hotel was very funky!
aside from the staff member on the first day - all other staff members were friendly. large bed but no opening window for fresh air.
not for families- space or facilities wise - should just state this. having travelled all day we were also disappointed by the staff member who was very short tempered in assisting us with this type of check in which we had not done before. Pity that he needed to stand and rudely comment on us to another staff member. Put a cloud over the whole visit and all the key cards had to re done anyway as he was careless with his assistance.
The bed was amazing! Loved the mood lighting and free movie option. Most of all the huge picture if robbie Williams in the foyer!
Although it says on website 24 hour food, there actually isn't. Which we didn't realise until gone midnight when we were starving. Take snacks for the room.
Very friendly staff, perfect location, very good wifi. Most amazing/different room I have ever been in.
Excellent communal areas, friendly and helpful staff, well equipped room with lots of techy toys! A great mix of traditional service in a modern hotel setting. Have stayed in 50+ hotels in the past year and this was the best.
The hotel was in a good location. Very impressed with the check in process. Room had some good features, but also some negative ones.
Very high tech, which took some getting used too. Woke in the night as room was very hot (air con was on the lowest setting). Felt quite claustrophobic. Bed was huge and very comfortable, but you could only get out from one side.
The fit out is fantastic. Particularly the "foyer" area. A groovy feel to it with excellent, friendly staff.
The rooms are small - with no fresh air (window) making them claustrophobic.
Fabulously big and comfy beds, and wonderful showers. The tablet-controlled lights, blinds and TV/Radio were great.
The lack of a bath
Everything - it really is the best hotel I have stayed in London for the money, It is good for business & pleasure and the staff are outstanding. Fast WiFi, funky decor, comfy beds and hight tech AV system in the room. Well done Citizen - perfect balance.
Perhaps they could supply tea making facilities in the room?
The hotel is an innovative design idea of Hotel. The stuff is really excellent and the structure very well organized. the location is in the center of SouthBank, 15 minuts walking from Tate modern Museum
The metro station is not immediatelly close the hotel (10 minutes walking)
Check-in and check-out was super fast, we got to 'upgrade' to a room with a city view for free. Staff were friendly enough. The rooms were amazingly clean. Location was great for where we wanted.
The tablet in the room didn't work so we didn't get the novelty of using it to control the lights, TV, temperature etc. The bathroom had (frosted) see-through walls... I'd only stay here with my partner, and not share with friends or family!
Everything e.g. friendly staff, design of hotel and rooms ,breakfast, atmosphere, located close to Tate modern, close to blackfriars station for travel from and to Gatwick airport.
I loved the mattress -- it was one of the better ones I've slept on. The room was hip, and all the Vitra furniture in the lobby was cool. The Dutch guy who helped me with check-in at 4:45AM (travel delays, sigh) was awesome.
Rooms aren't carpeted. The rain shower kept dripping throughout the night. Sound insulation is a bit lacking -- I heard the shower running from the room upstairs in the morning.
