“ The room for what we wanted was adequate. We only paid £20 for a night so wasn't expecting a lot. But after reading all of the reviews on here about it being obismal, i was pleasantly surprised. Was I foolish in not expecting the Hilton for their £20 a night? ”

- Room and bathroom was clean. - Staff was very friendly. - Not so far from city centre. - 24 hours gas station just 3 minuts by walk. - I presume that for any people localization will be weak point - but I liked it. - If you are looking luxury, choose something different.

Nothing Expensive. Paid £210 for a tiny prison cell of a room for 3 people. The room was completely empty of facilities, not even a hairdryer or tissues. The room was boiling hot. The whole hotel stunk of fresh paint, so much so I got a headache. The shared bathroom, the light didn't work, there was no toilet paper, the shower trickled out, you couldn't even see yourself in the mirror because of the lighting. We were given just three low quality towells to last us. All for £210 - absolute disgrace. The hotel was also situated on an industrial estate that looked like the scene of a gangland massacre. The only positive is we had to be out of the hotel by 10am the next morning. The sooner the better!

Liverpool is a great town with very cool people. Awesome night life This b&b is the worst place I have ever stayed. I honestly felt sick at paying 119 pounds for the experience. No towels provided. Floor in bedroom so dirty I was sticking to it in my shoes and in the morning the smell of dirty grease traps from the cafe downstairs was so over powering I actually felt ill. City b&B....never ever again!

Very friendly. Fantastic value, and clean Given the price, nothing to complain about. Not everyone's cup of tea, perhaps, but at this price? Would happily use again.

- close to the city centre - really nice room - excellent live music heard from the nearby building (tv/radio not needed) ;) + for those who like silence while sleeping, they didn't play all night - check out at 10am (too early since chceck in starts at 2pm) - tv didn't work (although we didn't have much time to watch tv, it would've been nice if it had worked) - no internet

The room was fairly sized for our group of four to stay in, we all had a reasonably comfortable bed with seemingly clean bedding. The location was less than a mile from the city centre, too. Hardly a warm welcome from the rudest woman I have ever encountered upon arrival, as soon as we got to the counter she greeted us with, 'Name?' Tried to tell us we each had to pay a £50 deposit because we didn't all carry photo id (she claimed this was stated online, but I am yet to find where). After refusing to cough up the £200 we were subject to her rudeness and bluntness. The corridors in the building smelt of stale cigarettes, and the communal bathroom's floor had puddles of (perhaps) water on it and there was only one towel to share between the entirety of the B&B, needless to say, none of us dared to shower, and thank god we had only booked one night because staying there for longer would have been torture. I have stayed in hostels better than this, I'd rather sleep on the streets than pay for a night here again.

Nothin Very dissappointing b&b- The staff was very rude, we arrived 8 minutes past our checking in time ( we had to travell 7 hours) but the receiptionist charged us an extra £10 for being late to check in. She did not even bother listening to us. There is no desk she closed the bar check in at 8 pm- so there is no staff during the time of the stay.. The hotel is located in some industrial area which has nothing else than that buliding....very doggy area. There is an empty house around there which had some banging music the whole night so you can not sleep. The next door neighbour was very annoying ,as it's a house not proper hotel rooms you can hear everything happening in the next door room which is very annoying. The check out is way too early. You share bathroom - there is only one bathroom which is shared amoung 15 people when we stayed. The shower was very poor and the heating was left on the whole night as there is no place to even adjust the temperature. We booked for two nights ended up staying just for one night as the hotel standard where way to poor. Paid £65 per room per night, so not cheap at all..the hotel we changed to on the next day charged us the same amount and it was a proper hotel.. Will never stay in this place again and I think it should not be closed down due to poor standards

The room for what we wanted was adequate. We only paid £20 for a night so wasn't expecting a lot. But after reading all of the reviews on here about it being obismal, i was pleasantly surprised. Was I foolish in not expecting the Hilton for their £20 a night? Our room was clean and had a TV in there and a mirror, shared bathroom which was kept clean too. A few marks on the wall in the room. When you first go through the door it is bad, it is a little smelly and the carpet was wrecked, but once you get up the stairs its not too bad and the rooms dont smell at all unpleasant. If your just looking like me and my friend, a place to get your head down after a heavy night on the pop then this is ideal. The only think I didn't like was the surrounding area that it was in. And also having to go to the pub up the road to collect the key was a bit of a pain. Someone has put it is half a mile up the road, NO IT IS NOT! Its a 2 minute walk if that! And there is a bus stop right outside but we got taxi's at night because of the area reputation.

Liverpool center , Having to fetch the key from o'tools bar it was not five minuets walk , the female member of staff was very rude and miserable and there should be tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The 3rd bed was broken in the room.

nothing is in need to a deep clean, from the smell to the dust and grime in the carpets.. bedrooms need a lick of paint (of one colour) and the bathroom needs the mildew removing from the shower.. curtains need replacing as they are filthy.. clean laundered sheets need to be a must for every new customer arriving

Was cheap but basic. You get what you pay for. Was warm and the beds/bedding was clean. The decor is a bit tired and bathroom tiles are cracked but at £39 couldnt complain!

Really clean... Right near city centre. Being a young group of friends was good for us as it was quite lively of a night time. Lots of noise - which we were mainly making! Shared bathroom was always clean. We were a bit worried when first arriving the B and B doesn't look to appealing but it did the job for a cheap weekend away. The lady was nice and let us have some towels for free as we didn't have cash. Location Lively

Our hotel the gentleman was very friendly an helpful The postcode for sat nav is totally different to the one you will be staying at, when we rang number on form for directions( at regent street) the woman was very snotty an not helpful at all, couldn give us directions and kept saying put stanley road in sat nav( there is 4 stanley roads in liverpool) you feel your on wild goose chase because the post code takes you to a derelict street with the odd factory

I was very disappointed. Staff friendliness was an all time low. Every taxi driver told us that we were staying in an extremely dangerous area. No shower would work in the house. Rooms were most uncomfortable and dirty. Overall this place is a disaster!!!!!

I paid for 4 nights with breakfast. I was charged #10.00 for arriving late. The tv in my room did not work! I had breakfast for two mornings. The third morning, Thursday 1/11/12, I stood outside the O'toole's Bar for 90 minutes without gaining admission to the bar for my btreakfast. All that time, nobody answered my calls. I was so fed up I decided I could not stay my last night and left. When I called the same number at about 12.15, one Martin answered the phone and expressed surprise that there was nobody at the bar to admit me for breakfast; he even volunteered to get somebody there to allow me have my breakfast - but that was around noon! So he had expected me to have been staying put outside O'toole's all that time!! I think I am entitled to a refund of one night anf two breakfast charges!

The City b& b was clean, warm & comfortable & thats all we needed for 1 night. It also had a television with sky and you could lock the door. It didnt have anything close by eg shops. There is a taxi service, the lady gave me a card with numbers on before I left.
