staff are good, very friendly
To be honest, this is the worest hotel I've ever lived. I lived there for 3 days Wifi, sometime cannot connect Bed is not comfortable, don't have the hair drier, kettle , cups at the room! Damn it
Great as really central
The mattress in room No 4 @ no46 is past its sell by date a bit lumpy. Would have liked a chair in the room as one could only sit on the bed not ideal. Noisy early in the morning @ 6.30 when contractors staying were getting ready for work.
It was clean and tidy
We were reminded many times to not make noise later on in the evening and it was not clear that we had to give £100 diposit
Excellent location and price. Your own house.
The location was excellent, the staff were friendly & helpful.
The pillows were very uncomfortable. That sounds petty, but when you need to get to sleep and you're relying on being comfortable for that, something as simple as a better quality pillow is important.
Tea coffee facilities provided.
Mattresses need changing as too old and sagging
Not very much in honesty. It's difficult to review this kind of accommodation objectively as it depends on what your expectations are. If it's anything other than a bed for the night you are likely to be disappointed.
The carpets where stained with digested and regurgitated red wine, beer and other mystery stains. The beds where chronically uncomfortable and the highlight of our stay had to be when a small group of twenty something lads in the bedroom above decided to play running up and down stairs shouting to one another at 5 am! This culminated in a verbal confrontation and whilst still marginally capable, I'm 53 and my wife found it all a bit worrying. If you like to party till it gets light it's an option If you're planning on getting some rest after a long day and hoping to awaken bright eyed and bushy tailed, pay an extra £20 and get breakfast thrown in. Or spend slightly less and invest in a tent.
For one fun night it was very good value for money, simple and convenient.
Room lock was very low quality and untrustworthy.
Location and price
Not en suite, just a bedroom
I had to wait for a hour outside cause they didnt have a clue ive booked the room smelt very bad in the place floors were dirty womens hair on the bed it was discusting had to share the bathroom internet was slow I only staeyed there for 4 hours cause the place smely so bad had to collect my deposit & licence after 1 day cause when I left no one was at reception I am really disapointed with booking.com as they shouldnt have such places up on there site
Local to all amenities. Low cost. Friendly reception staff.
Downstairs shower not draining very quickly. Upstairs shower no pressure. Oven not working.
Location, free parking
Very shabby decor, which made it feel like it wasn't very clean. Basic bedroom - furniture and fittings. Needs a good overall, redecorating and refurbishment, and then could be fantastic accommodation
Location is excellent as shopping complex is within walking distance. House has great potential shame it wasn't maximized
WiFi did not work it was reported staff stated we needed to download Apple software app. the group of 10 was not impressed as we were unable to use WiFi for duration of stay. TV's very dated and some did not work or you could only get 1 channel?... Despite me going a head of my group and reminding staff that I was expecting a group of 10, we STILL had to wait for adequate Cutlery, plates glasses, saucepans and chairs of which we were eventually given garden furniture. ROOMS advertised as having a room with two single beds this house did not have any, rooms had either a single with a double bed or double bed, which gave us less sleeping space. Our men did not want to share a double bed. Car parking was a big issue. on arrival there was a car parked in the drive We were told that the owner had gone to work and the car would be moved by the end of the day. We stayed 3 days the car was not moved despite constant complaints to staff. We were given parking space 5 houses away which of which there was only one space. Parking outside the house on the opposite side of the road is on meters and required us to get out of bed at 6am to put money in the meter at cost to ourselves so we didn't get a parking fine.general attitude of staff was poor. Staff need to be more prepared and not lie to there customers.Maintain the gardens which could have added some pleasure to the experience had they not been so unkempt smoking area not swept cig butts on ground and garden furniture super grubby only 1 chair and table. It was summer so sitting outside would have been nice. If these points are addressed then these houses could be an asset to you!
Good location close to shopping centre and only about 1mile from central station. Shower was pretty good.
Bed was pretty low for me being over 6ft tall, no fresh towels and wifi didnt seem to connect with password from the room information sheet in shared kitchen.
The receptionist did her utmost best.
In one of the (two) rooms we reserved the bed was broken, the matress stood upright against the wall. In spite of the efforts the receptionist made, she couldn't offer better than a room in one of the other properties. We didn't want to split up the family, so we had no other choice than to accept the conditions: our sons sleeping on a matress on the floor.
The TV kept frezzing so couldn't watch it
Good shared shower
Tv didn't work , staff not easy to contact
Poor value for money
the room was large loads of room in general the cooking facilities were excellent there was ice in the freezer the shower was excellent small garden area out back parking out front very central and yet quite which was a bonus so all in all its really very good, not mega posh but neither was it the pits by any stretch of the imagination, really good value for money, I would use them again and would recommend them to friends.
For a first time booking it was at first a bit difficult to locate but only because it blended in with the surrounding it was easy to overlook, that and I was being a bit of a dim wit, what can I say, I was tired.
We had to arrive quite late and reception was already closed but they left the key in a safe place so we did not have any problems to go into the room. They are also flexible with the check out hours. There are 4 rooms per house so at the end you only share the kitchen with 3 other rooms and the bathroom with one (at least in house 70). Very nice facilities and highly value for money.
It is sourraunded by private houses as well so you cannot park around. We did not know this and our car was very closed to be removed. Stuff did nothing about this and we were lucky thanks to a kind neighbour.
Location. Price. Tolerance.
The smell was horrendous. Hairs on the towels. Bathroom & kitchen dirty. Had to sleep with the window open so the smell wasn't too bad. Got woken up at 3am, because another guest couldn't get in (we had to be up at 5am).
Close to shops
When I booked it, I didn't realise it was a shared house so no ensuite bathroom. Would not book again
didn't expect it to be self catered
