Excellent location, good size room, comfortable bed, clean towels daily, quiet in the room did not hear any noise.Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast however when we passed the people that did it looked yummy. We did eat in the evening and found the food very tasty and good value for money.
There was nothing to complain about.
This is in a good location as it's a short walk from the town centre and yet is on a quiet street, so there's no noise at night time. The room was a good size and had a really comfy bed.
Some of the paint was peeling in the bathroom and there was no hairdryer in our room, but these are minor complaints and didn't affect our overall stay - would definitely go there again as overall it was good value for money.
Perfectly positioned for sightseeing shopping and superb restraunts just a short walk away. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Staff made ever effort to make us feel welcome, we ate in the restaurant on the first night of our stay excellent food brilliant service, special mention to the long haired barman who was fab.
Very helpful staff - fully informed us of keys, entrances, breakfast and showed us to our room. Location is great with a public car park across the road. About £13 per day. Beds are big and comfortable, spacious bathroom with bath and shower. Tasteful complimentary toiletries. TV, wifi, tea and coffee.
The only downside is that it's not particularly great on the sound proofing front. You can hear people above you and in the corridor. I personally am not that bothered as the noise didn't last that long but it's just a thought as others may get annoyed.
HOTEL NEAR CITY CENTRE
TAPS IN BATHROOM FAULTY
Convenient location nice hotel friendly staff
Bed throw had stains on towel rail in bathroom hanging off the wall room a little tired but otherwise ok
Staff where excellent and helpful bar area was very pleasant and location was ideal for our visit. Will definitely stay again
Above a pub with good food, drink and service. Short walk to city centre. Big bathroom and bed. Quickish internet. Early check-in not an issue. Hot powerful shower.
No parking onsite what-so-ever (pay and display parking nearby).
comfortable room, close to cathedral, not too expensive
Room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and even stored our bags for us before check-in so we could go out unencumbered. Good stock of tea/coffee. Beds were comfy.
Bit noisy, but it was practically city centre so nothing too bad. We only really noticed because we had to have the window open due to the warm weather.
Beautiful family run hotel, service was excellent. Beautiful garden area, stunning estabishment. every need catered for. Would definatly visit again!!
Free parking not availible but reasonably priced parking across the road.
comy large bed! Very friendly, helpful staff Good beer and decent food in the pub
The decor in the pub could no with a refresh, but the room was comfy and clean, especially the bathroom.
The people the decor the food everything.
Two grumpy old men who took up two tables for four and refused to move to let me sit down. !!!! They would not know chivalry if it came and hit them in the mouth. !
Situation of the hotel. Helpful staff. Reasonable price.
Nothing in particular
The bar man Steve was very professional, polite and helpful.
My partner, who has a gluten free diet was very disappointed by the beef burger meal. The beef burger was over cooked and had shrunk in size and was tasteless. A burger from Burger King tasted better. The promise of extra chips because he couldn't have the bread roll was not forthcoming. The room had grubby marks around the light switch.
Great value for money, staff very friendly and room very clean, very comfy bed. Nice having a kettle in the room.
Easy location of shopping centre in one direction and the quay in the other Big comfortable room and bed Very friendly staff
Little bit pricey for archers and lemonade!!
Friendly staff Good shower Good breakfast Magic beer garden
The rooms were quite big, very clean and modern bathroom. Staff were friendly Lovely outdoor area Pub seemed very nice
No parking, you have to have to use nearby multi storey, cost £11.80 for an overnight stay. We had burgers which were very expensive, and very greasy, which put us off having breakfast there. We found a local café instead.
The staff were very helpful and even recommended local places to visit and gave me some history of the area.
Room was nice & comfortable. Lovely conservatory area for sitting & chatting. Good selection of beers.
Could have done with a few more staff on when booking in. Looked like one staff member was new & was left to attend the bar & trying to book guests in on a system he was not familiar with
I like the interior which is clean and modern. Service staff is excellent.
I didn't like was during mid nite, there will always a group of students talking too loud on the streets. So it will affect my sleep.
Excellent staff and great location
Stained wash basin
