Not a value for money proposition
Staff were nice. Pub at the corner of the street was nice.
Thought I was in a crack den. Lol
Reasonable accommodation Bethnal green... Maybe if you're not given a room down Downstairs like us, it would be ok but economy rooms are underground... Gothic feel really :-p
I didn't like the shower
nice people helpful
walls dirty matress dirty city view of what
The location is very good and the price is very cheap. Have hot water, shower, TV and so on. The room is very warm.
Some tips on the website are not correct, which made me confused. The breakfast is a little bit late.
Plenty of space to move around and bed was comfortable.
Staff were grumpy, and arrogant. Food selection (for breakfast) was poor - they had never heard of wholemeal brown bread before & served baked beans COLD out of a tin! Disgusting!.
Very small room. You can't stay in unless for sleeping. At least the beddings were clean.
It's a nice hotel not far away from Liverpool Street. Bus nr 8. Fine breakfast..eggs, toast, jam, cereal, coffee & orange juice. We've liked the room with a private bathroom and kitchen.
Generally cleaned but it can be better.
First they froze my credit card for a month, although it was said u pay when you stay. The hotel is run by a hindu family and is in some hindu area. The name is City View - they gave me the room in the basement! I didnt see anything from my window! And it was my birthday, I had told the hotel prior to my visit. Wifi and TV didn't work at all! There was no toilet paper and there was an awful shower, together with the toilet on some pedestal! Some nails on the walls. Pillows laying outside in the corridor. When I went for breakfast at 8, the receptionist was asleep on the sofa, in the dark. You need to take two buses to the metro and the metro station is far from the centre! Never even keep in mind to go there!
Rude staff. Poorly maintained toilets.
Cheap B&B hotel and good place to stay..
Near bus stop to Bethnal Green/Bow Church.
Wifi was so slow I had to use 3G with Norwegian provider most of the time.
Single room turned out to be a really tiny room without a window and thin walls and it was located right next to the door to a very busy corridor. The only furniture in the room was a bed. Cleaness of the room was questionable. The breakfast was served by a guy that looked like it was a real trouble for him to prepare anything for the guests. He served people with an earphone stuck in one of his ears and replied in a rather rude way to any requests. I assume he has never heard about "customer service".
room cleaned and tidy.
bed hater not working.
I'm a repeat guest which says it all I hope
hospitality and staff
breakfast space so cramped have to wait for the available chair
Mould in bathroom pics aren't of the same hotel rooms we were told they have 3 properties this one wasn't a good one
Cleanliness or lack of it. Room was very small Mattress was very old and very used
Everything bad smells, limescale and mould everywhere in the bathrooms .upon arrival a staff member was asleep on the sofa I had to wake him up to check in!! At 5pm .There was also cockroaches in the hotel avoid at all cost . stayed for 5 days room wasn't cleaned and no clean towels the clean towels were left on the porch outside.
Location is actually good. It was handy for where I was working anyway. Lots nearby if you want food or drink. It turns into a bit of a dodgy looking high street after dark once all the shutters come down on the shops.
I was given a TINY basement single room! There was a window but it didn't open out to any outside air, just a dark void. Room was incredibly hot. Big fan on the wall was caked in thick dust. Toilet/shower 'wet room' was the smallest & worst I have ever seen in my entire life. Coridors stank of mildew (they said thay had recently had a 'leak') but that was certainly not fresh smell. If I was not desperate after a long hard day with an early start looming the next morning I would have walked out and gone to find somewhere else.
Sky tv. wifi big fan room was warm excellent breakfast
Door handle was slightly pulled off
The staff didn't clean the beds, there was a window in the room but it was useless because outside of it was a dark alley or something.. No view.
- typical "bed&breakfast" place - wifi was fine - personel was kind and helpfull - we were allowed to leave our stuff inside the hotel at the day of leaving
- we've received a room no. 105 in the basement with shared bathroom, but this shared bathroom with shower was 2 floors up.... - in the room was big humidity and musty smell (mold)....avoid this room! - bathroom with shower which was on the first floor was also musty smell (mold) because of non working fan I guess? - I'm not picky but "Full English Breakfast" contains a bit more than it was served to us.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_breakfast#England - very low budget place....
Lady serving breakfast very friendly; good and complete breakfast.
The room was not clean and the bed not comfortable at all.
