This was reuly a 'find' . Its convenient to the city centre, being only a short walk from shops , restaurants, bars etc. Staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Took the time to offer advice on local entertainment etc. The room was small but spotless clean with everything you could need as a solo traveller - including a double bed. The shower was the best shower I have ever experienced in any hotel I have stayed in - and I stay regularly in hotles for my job. Overall, this hotel offers incredible value for money and is a good three star overall.

Good coffee. Some staff very good (dark haired girl on Reception was very helpful Specifically asked for a quiet room, but got one with fan/AC noise from next building - a very small dingy room. I was given a change of room, but as still on same side of building, it was no better. This was slightly bigger, and better comfort. Receptionist was less than helpful (the blonded one) and also did not book taxi in advance as requested (only booked when I asked where the taxi was, in the morning) - she booked it at 8:32, already later than requested - fortunately it arrived very quickly. So, very little sleep. Would never consider these rooms as "deluxe" Also, poor facilitiues for work (no good light to work/read by, and small desk space) Manager needs to retrain staff on room facilities and traveller needs.

Well designed room and friendly staff. Clean. It was noisy and the breakfast was very basic for the price. And the lighting in my room was inadequate.

Spacious room, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff. Quite a lot of street noise (mostly traffic), due to single pane windows. Minor comment: this hotel is not in the immediate vicinity of the shopping distrinct (10-15 min walk).

Ideally located for city amenities; well thought-out room design - quite spacious and with lots of original features; proper Scottish breakfasts - with black pudding and potato scones The bed room was super-heated - even with the radiator turned off. Also, the heating clanked into percussive life at 4:00 am, waking us up.

Arrived at 14:45 and was told room not ready, check in is 14:00 !, had to wait until 15:30 before getting room, unacceptable. Was given room with disabled toilet facility, no bath, very dissapointed, you need to repair very noisy squeeky floorboards above room 007, and the heating system when on thumped at a constant 10 second interval, very annoying.have stayed many times before but was a bit dissapointed this time, we are already booked next month, hope the experience is better or will be looking for alternatives in the future.

its in a great area, beside shops night life etc, also has a handy car park round the corner. We actually really like this hotel but on this stay there was no hot water or heating for 2 days out of three and we had to go to a room at the ibis for a shower, not ideal but staff were very apologetic and helpful.

The rooms are of a nice size, comfortable beds etc and staff friendly. The location is central so very handy for the theatre and shops. On this occasion there was no hot water throughout the hotel so this made our stay very uncomfortable and inconvenient. We know this is a one off problem but it did have a huge impact on our stay. Not being able to have a hot shower etc spoiled our trip.
