Score from 15 reviews Wonderful
Good location, comfy beds, nice power shower
Helpful staff. Spacious double room and ensuite on third floor. No elevator but staff quick to help with bags. Good location.
Breakfast too pricey though looked fresh. Too much food for our needs. Went out for simple breakfasts, for much less, close by. No WiFi in room. TV very small. Bed quilts adequate but need to be updated. No A/C but not a problem in cooler weather.
Staff friendly & helpful
Very poor facilities. No lift, no bar . A very antiquated hotel in a city centre
Good location within easy walking distance of the city centre. Splendid breakfast, generally good room with all would hope for, tremendous staff. Will stay again. A taxi to and from the train station is a must with bags.
Poor wifi connection
no parking and staff not very helpfull in telling you where to park
Im 6ft,6in good size bed, bath in room and near all the good pubs, clubs and restaurants of glasgow, stayed there for show at kings theater, its just round the corner. Great place!
Wiki connection gets cut off every few minutes. Still a bit walk to city centre.
Location. Staff very very good
Could feel all the springs in the bed!! Blind didn't cover window properly so light came in at night. Noisey, could here people in adjacent rooms, people walking on floor above me, TV's and so on. Dust all over top of TV, wardrobe and lamps. Poor
Twice west end and city Good value and facilities Near Charing Cross station Shops restaurants and theatres nearby Room had good facilities
Room a bit small for a double Carpet a bit musty otherwise very clean Window did not shut properly Noise from m8 in the background
The location, the staff availability
we were given a room in the basement, smelly and dark.
Close to the center and the Kelvingrove Park zone.
the last day they start works on the floor at 9am...(not good)
The exterior of the hotel at Elmbank Road,Glasgow has impressive kerb appeal and an alluring charm. The interior/ reception has a host of original features which adds to the charm. My ground floor room was equally impressive. The decor was modern, tasteful and adds a contemporary touch to the original features.. The staff were discreet and attentive to ones needs without being overbearing. The culinary experiance was also pleasant. For instance, breakfast offered a range of options; healthy fruit and cereal, continental breakfasts,English fry up or the gutbusting croissant and full cream coffee. The location was perfect; away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but within walking distance. I would recommend this particular hotel and location to friends and family.
There was not much I did not like.Only that my room walls were stud partion , thus, one could hear conversations or tv in the next room.
Great bed and shower. Good location for walking to desirable spots in Glasgow. Staff was very helpful in handling special computer requests.
Location very good, lovely and clean and staff very helpful,we were given a room on the first level and plenty of space in room.
Nothing wrong with hotel or staff and would go back to stay again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good location in Glasgow.
Poor value for money. (Appreciate I stayed during the Commonwealth Games. However, if hotel charges nearly three times the normal rate - must expect such comments. Nightly rate was criminal.) Constantly woken up by doors slamming at night. Did ask if door closures could be adjusted - but told it was human error - not very helpful response!
you kept our luggage stored for the last day before we flew. Very much appreciated.
Welcome given to us by staff and quietness of the building at night. Ease in getting to Charing cross station which is just around the corner and one stop from the city centre. Breakfast was very good
Escalation of prices, in line with other city establishments, because the Commonwealth games were taking place.
Terrible shower, not a big enough screen and spayed water everywhere! Pillows were solid
Location to City Centre was good although you could easily miss the entrance as it's so dull.
Room 116. Barely room for one let alone a couple! Couldn't walk around the bed to get to the dressing table, which when you did sit down at it was no where near the wall mirror! I paid nearly £300 for three nights room only, which would've been ok but ONLY if there's been room! It was also very hot and the bed & pillows were very hard. All in all not impressed.
Cleaning of the room, bed and bathroom.
Room too small, the room had a double bed but it is certainly suited for 1 because you walk with difficulties from a point to another of the room. During the night not so quiet, sometimes you can hear slammed doors (but of course it is the fault of the neighbors), I suggest a way to reduce the noise of the slammed doors if possible. No active plugs if the card key is not in the room slot (you cannot charge a battery, for example, if you leave the room).
room staff free wi-fi location
no breakfast included
The location was perfect for the theatre I was attending, but not to far from centre of City either. Breakfast was first class, certainly for the price. This hotel was perfect for someone who was staying for a single night.
The wi-fi signal was very poor. I was in a room at the back, and could hardly pick it up.
