Friendly staff. Apartment very clean.
Kitchen not great but so many restaurants very close by so, it didn't matter on our weekend stay.
Location is great. Room was a reasonable size a little cramped.
We had 2 electric heaters, it was really cold
location was great, many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of apartment and only 5 minutes in a taxi from centre of town
the bathroom was tiny and smelt very strongly of damp, not very pleasant
Bathroom on the small side
Love this area of Glasgow & handy for everything
Staff were good
Arrived to book into the apartment only to be told that it was not available. Was offered room in hotel as an option. As we had no real option we accepted. Room was on third floor up a very steap staircase. Room had 2 single beds and 1 double. Very tired room. Not really what we travelled to Glasgow for as the Apartment was 4 star.
- Beds not that comfortable - Bedroom / living room too crowded with furniture: had to move the beds to close the curtains - Had to go through second bedroom to go to bathroom which had very noisy fan - Heating inadequate for size of room
Location Size of rooms Building Staff
Terrible shower Old furnishings Inadequate lighting
It was a short walk to eating places and supermarkets.
One bed was a bit creaky and noisy
5min bus ride to City Centre
Parking was not free
It was clean and spacious with good facilities for self catering
We booked a double room as we are a young couple and this was our first chance at getting away together. When we arrived we were told we had a twin room and that there were no double rooms in the building. The receptionist was relatively polite but defensive in the way that made me think this was a conversation that she often has. It was frustrating to sleep apart on a romantic get away when we sleep together at home. I contacted the McQuade group after our stay to bring this to their attention and got a swift reply saying that the person who deals with online bookings was on holiday for a week and was assured of some kind of action after this time. I work in hospitality myself and was more than willing to wait for a resolution so that I could write a good review. Unfortunately that was the last I heard from them and when I checked on their site today you can still book for a double bed where there are only twins. Disappointing. Had they resolved the errors in booking I would recommend but as it stands I would not book with them again I don't know what you get for a family room maybe a travel cot and some crash mats on the floor? Go to a b & b or a trusted brand instead.
Convenious: The location is near the underground station and The university of glasgow.
The apartment was just painted and I had an asthma that night. The apartment should not be used for couple of days until the smell gone.
Kitchen facilities. Spacious room and ensuite bathroom. Comfortable beds. Hospitality wine.
Wifi is absolutely malfunction.
Convenient to shops, restaurants and Byers Road
the decor is rather old-fashioned. bathroom is much smaller than I expected
The room is clean/ hygienic and cosy. Good value for money, very convenience. Close to a best fish and chips shop and convenuebce stores and halal shops
The stove does not has hood to absorb smell and vapour from cooking. Knife provided , only one bread knife.
Really friendly welcome on check-in & again at check-out. We parked on the road outside the apartment. It was meter parking but we bought parking tickets from the receptionist, £4 for a full day. It's free from 6pm - 8am. Ideally situated for west end, university museums, Rennie Macintosh House, Kelvinside subway, Byres Road shopping, bars & cafes & Botanical gardens. Glasgow tour bus stops & picks up on Byres Rd & Botanical Gardens which are both only a 10-minute walk away. Superb!
Nothing in particular though the bathroom was quite tiny. Tip: switch on the shower - on the wall Before going into the bathroom - then enjoy a lovely shower!
Stayed here twice. Loved it. We had the double room which had a lovely large window looking into a family garden. Very close to one of my favorite restaurants Landsdowne Road. So close to everything.
Were single beds pushed together for a double. And a bit too soft for me. But I loved everything else.
Great location. Close to the subway and there is a launderette right down the street. Close to 2 grocery stores and just a minute away from Great Western Road. The hotel next door let us leave our luggage, which was so helpful. It felt like we lived there. I would stay here again every time we come to Glasgow.
Beds were a bit too soft for me.
The location is good...close to restayrants, groceries and very close to the subway
Friendly reception - helpful Good having appartments next to each other
Location, welcome and ease of booking
Older style windows allow a bit of noise from street but not too bad
Marlene at the front desk was wonderful. The location is very convenient --- 1 block to Kelvinbridge tube stop in the trendy West End ner University of Glasgow. Affiliated with the Albion Hotel next door. Comfortable beds and very clean. We had a large street level apartment but the hotel is on a dead end street so little street noise. Lots of hot water and good pressure. Near shops and restaurants. We recommend Felix and Oscars for breakfast or coffee, and Paradise for good Persian food at reasonable price.
nothing we would stay again!
Location was good and plenty of local shops etc.
Was single beds and this wasn't clearly explained, expected a double. Light bulbs weren't screwed in to the lamp and I had to fit. Very poor shower and it was dirty. Reception staff quite abrupt. Rooms need redecorated!
