Located in the heart of East London, Tower Hill One is just over 5 minutes’ walk from both Aldgate and Aldgate East Tube stations.
Score from 10 reviews Good
Although when you get off the tube the surrounds may be a little off putting, once you are inside the hotel the standards of cleanliness are excellent
Large Room, Tv and easy exit to tube
Very basic room, parking expensiv
Large room. Fridge in room
Some noise came through from adjacent rooms (not too bad). Quite noisy equipment running until late, and starting quite early (kitchens? aircon?)
Very well located, walking distance to Liverpool Street Station and 2min walk to the Aldergate East subway station
A little old
Location Bar facilities
Staff very unorganised, messed up both of our bookings Old decor Old bedroom furnishings
Nothing wrong with this place. Spacious rooms with often more beds than you have requested. Clean, quiet rooms, maybe bit outdated. Reasonably good beds and a basic bathroom with bath/shower. Friendly staff. Solid wifi. Basic breakfast. Nothing exceptional, but fair. When looking for a design rooms and a cosy bar or hotel lobby, this is not your place.
Very clean and comfortable room. Free Wi-Fi. Bar menu consists of good and reasonably priced food which can also be obtained via room service. On-site car parking is a real bonus. I got the room at a discounted rate which made it very good value.
Fixed shower head. In a hotel of this standard it really should be adjustable.
Location Price Bar bar food staff
No table in room, mistake by cleaning staff, I assume. The staff were not aware that the table had been removed and would have corrected the omission at a better time.
Affordable. Good location, although not a good neighborhood.
Room did not have a mini-fridge. Everything looks quite a bit shabby.
I can't really be specific because i only comes back at night to sleep whenever i leave the hotel room in the morning. Though i found my room well taken care of anytime i came back and the staffs are welcoming which is expected in any hotel.
No refridgerator in my room to store my refreshments, no provision of mineral/bottle water in my room as i had to either make do with water from the bathroom tap to drink whenever i was thirsty or go down to buy some from the stores around.
Proximity to underground; Clean, fresh towel supply; Nearness to other eating places; Value for money
Neighborhood; Unreliable wifi;
The room was spacious and comfortable
The fridge in the room didn't work and neither did the plug in the bathroom, causing problems when showering
Duty manager was helpful in telephoning doctor on house call.
A particular smell in the hotel. Carpet was not so clean and it appears that the mattress has bed bugs.
great location, easy walking distance to main attractions, as well as quick access to tube and station links. interesting local history- located on the ripper trail but with spittle fields market just around the corner. if you love a good curry try- Aladdins on Brick Lane, five minutes from the hotel ( worth running the gauntlet of other restaraunts trying to get you into their establishments!) great food and very nice people. 20% discount in the bar makes prices reasonable.
lots of noise from the bar on Saturday night through till 2am on Sunday morning!!
close to the underground, clean bathroom
1 chair in a 3 beds' room
kind staff, close to underground.
the wifi signal is bad
Friendly staffs, clean rooms & very comfortable. Very close to Tube station.
Everything you needed in room including tea bags, and hairdryer.
Bed a bit hard and toilet a bit difficult to .
Helpful staff, good value for money Location is fine, easy access to other places
Technical fault, wake-up request not honored
Brilliantly located just around the corner from Aldgate East tube station & effectively at the bottom of Brick Lane the hotel is a great base to explore London from. Our family room contained 4 full sized single beds; perfect for travelling with tall teens. Simple room but very neat & clean. Tea facilities & full sized fridge included. Will definitely use again
Thought we had booked a room with a double & 2 twin beds but got 4 singles; but could live with that for one night
nice, clean room in central location. Looks inside better than from the outside. We did not took the breakfast, due to nice cafe in close surrounding. Reasonable price for the family.
bit noisy from the road (but what do you expect from a Hotel with this kind of location ??)
Stayed many times. Its always clean and the staff are very pleasant.
I've often been put in rooms which have 4 or 5 beds in them - even though I am on my own! When I book a single room that is what I expect, not an empty dormitory.
The facilities were clean and hygienic. The hotel is very close to a tube station.
The staff didn't seem to know the area well. I needed to get to the airport the following morning by tube and they didn't know the tube lines to take me there. The view from my window (second floor) was gross. Just a back alley and industrial setting. My room came with two single beds that were pushed together which were not at the same height.
Cooked breakfast (& continental) at £14 is extremely overpriced compared to other places (ie Premier inn) even more so considering you are situated in Whitechapel! Not enough pillows. The elderly like to sleep propped up. Two separate taps on the shower instead of a mixer meant I had overly hot showers. The place suited me for my purpose but I'd think twice before staying there again.
