The best thing about the Carlton is its location. We were able to walk to most of the major sites in London easily. The neighborhood was safe.
The staff was perfunctory at best, not rude but not especially customer oriented. The continental breakfast was a bag of bread still in its wrapper and shopping bag sitting on a chair next to the toaster. Our room was rather unique as you had to step up about a foot to get into the bathroom. The toilet, sink and shower were the same space,no stall, so if you showered the floor got soaked which made it difficult for someone to use the toilet and sink afterwards. We room we had was in front at street level,we heard everything, including the people at the desk, pedestrians and traffic.
Location about 19 mins from Victoria station.
Bathroom ridiculously tiny. Sheets too small for bed and had holes in them. Breakfast was from a massive tin of fruit salad. Expected at least a croissant on offer for continental breakfast.
The breakfast attendant was very good. Though she could not communicate well in English, she used signals to serve very efficiently.
The receptionist I met on arrival was the most unfriendly person I have met as a reception in all my years of travel. It is a mismatch for him to be at reception. Secondly, no shower cap, no lotion for afterbath
Water stop flowing from taps after 5mins of turning on
Room is not clean..bed plenty hair and the tea cup very dirty and dusty...you can hear when the other room flushed their toilet..and the breakfast milk served on chipped jug toast cold and you have to microwave your coffee even they justgave you a tea pot
No rails to put towels on in the bathroom. After using the shower, the floor was wet for quite a while because there was no quick drainage. The continental breakfast was v disappointing: no privacy when sitting, and some rather unappetising toast and cereal.
Location for my purpose, very good, and underground connection excellent to various parts of Central London.
the noise level, due to being on the main road, Belgrave Road. Consequently lack of sleep in general.
The room was good size. We had an extra bed which was slightly random. Good vaule for money in the area. Took cash on arrival also, which was good.
Tiny TV. Breakfast was basic. Spider webs and some dust was found.
Smell No room to open my suitcase Old bed with bad matress Window View to pile of garbage
Location was good
Room and bathroom was cramped
Good location, friendly staff, nice to have a family room of five.
The floor board above room made a lot of noise when people above moved. Breakfast room needs a little up date, and dust under beds and edges of the room
No lift tiny ensuite
Very good location. 10 min walk from Victoria station. Fair price for London hotel prices. The room was suficient.
The staff do their job ... no more. It's small.
Close to Pimlico tube and only about 7 mins to Victoria station from other direction.
Lots of stairs if staying in a room on top floor. Difficult with big heavy bags. Breakfast was 1 hour total duration only between 8-9am. Not very flexible.
Great location. Staff were friendly enough. Room was basic, but sufficient for an overnight stay.
Price. I booked online and was disappointed to find out that i paid more than what the price they advertised for a single room in the lobby. You might get better rooms for the same price in the same location. Breakfast was only served from 8 to 9 am which made for a very busy and rushed eating experience.
Brought a 1 night stay for 2 people. Rooms are spacious. Comfy bed but pillows are hard and heavy. Nice shower. You have to pay for wifi which I think should be free. But really good for your money!
Pillows. Outside shower floor towel was already dirty. No free wifi Was woken up by a man outside my door fixing a skirting board.
Big room, comfy beds, nice continental breakfast
No elevator, very little bathroom (en suite)
Hotel is close to everything - palace, Big Ben, War Museum, . . ., and Victoria Station.
Room smallish, but clean and it worked for us. We even had early breakfast - a bonus !
Clean, well appointed room.
The location was very good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The guest house was close to the tube stations.
The room was very basic, furniture needs updating, windows single glazed, quite noisy. Shower on the cool side, cheap and cheerful accomodation which was ok for a night in London.
Excellent price Clean rooms Good location
Small bathroom Continental breakfast was poor Creaky floorboards
Location was wery good
The bathroom was very small. Poor breakfast.
The single bed was fab as was proper bed. The location fab ensuite brilliant. Loads of electrical sockets brilliant. Room was gud small but well organised.
No mattress protectors. Toilet not clean. Breakfast included continental only toast and two cereals! had to leave early for coach told could take breakfast with us but nothing to take. No fruit etc either. Toast was cheap bread. Red marks on sheet and pillow case. Did n
It was central to our requirements (Eg Buckingham Palace,London Eye)
Location was good and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was basic but welcoming. Room was very quiet as requested.
Bed was hard and pillows lumpy so didn't sleep well.
