The hotel is in a great location and if you are staying more than a night get a river view. Its a 20 min walk to Buchannan St and the city centre. the rooms are clean but small wifi standard The staff are brilliant. All in all this is a great stay for a short break in Glasgow near some of the big concert venues and a short taxi ride to everything else. Generally great value for the money
Since Hilton acquired this hotel there are things that I find a little irritating. The breakfast has become self service so can be a bun fight at peak times and food not as good as previously. Haven't had dinner there since Hilton due to disappointing breakfast so cant comment. No more papers in reception area. But all in all little gripes
The hotel was lovely breakfast good staff helpfull good all round stay would recomend it to others
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn couldn't have been more helpful. A great place to stay.
Stay here everytime I visit Glasgow - great location and great that it has parking - staff are friendly as always - rooms are clean and bed very comfy - breakfast is superb so much choice
Nothing that I didnt like
The air conditioning system was very noisy during the night.
iMac in the room
i liked everything about the hotel.
Location Location Location Patio Breakfast
Couldn't sit out on patio after 10pm?! Such a shame when it was such a lovely warm evening that we couldnt sit out with our drinks after being at an event next door for the evening.
Good location Not expensive parking iMac in the room Not bad if you are here for business only
Noisy A/C Not good soundproofing of rooms Mediocre breakfast (good variety, but not good quality) Uncomfortable beds (very soft and cramped mattress) Ugly/ not inspiring common areas (lobby, staircase, breakfast area) You can tell this is an old hotel, even if renovated
Location and amenities
Bed too hard
Everything was great, the staff the hotel even the parking is very cheap! Great value for money and if I ever go to a show at the Hydro again I will be staying over.
I would have liked a little pub ot two near by but that is not the hotels fault
Efficient service, friendy, comfortable, good dining room
All good or better
The hotel's location was excellent for the SECC. Very helpful staff; rooms and public areas well kept. Nice position by the river.
Breakfast selection was good but needed to be hotter. Bacon on the dry side.
the staff, the location, the bed, the tv/computer,
the tiny bathroom, the price
I thought it was nice and clean
Room was tiny, bathroom was small and bed was really hard.
Nice room decor
Very hot and air con not working
Well appointed clean rooms
Breakfast should be included for the price paid A biscuit on the coffee/tea tray would be appreciated
Location Comfort Simple but effective
Shower a bit hot
BEst sleep in a long time
Friendly helpful staff and a lovely breakfast each morning. Rooms were very comfortable and clean.
Disappointed there was no bath and bathroom was quite small. Air-con was very loud at night and came back on despite me getting up several times to turn it off.
Comfortable hotel in great situation. Good car parking and not far from Exhibition Train Station. 10 minute walk to station and 5 minute journey to Glasgow Central. Great selection at breakfast.
Bit of a lack of atmosphere in bar but this is just what can happen with modern style city hotels.
Friendly staff Good good Comfy room Good views
Terrible Internet connection
Very helpful staff in all departments
Food and drink very expensive
