Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre  

The car parking, there were signs telling me that there may be a charge for parking, however I did ask if it would be ok to leave my car in the car park until lunch time the day of departure I was told that was not a problem, It was not until I itemised my bill I noticed I had been charged £10.00 for parking, I had thought that charge applied for full days additional parking

Mostly a pleasent visit spoiled by one event

On the second day of our stay (12th April) the queue for the breakfast stretched accross the reception area! In my career I have stayed in a range of hotels from the London Hilton, the Lancaster Gate and the Grovsnor in England not to mention many Post House and Holiday Inn hotels. Also hotels in Goteborg, Eindhoven and many others! I have never had such a situation! When my wife and I eventually were seated it was 15 minutes before we were offered drinks and it took the best part of an hour before we had our meal. For a Hotel ssch as the mint this was unacceptable! We received an apology when booking out yesterday (13th April) following my comment to reception!

Nice rooms with apple mac which was a nice touch

had to wait 3/4 hr to check in, the place was being refurbished and so the bar was shut, and the leisure centre was closed. Some warning about this when booking should be expected

The staff are always friendly and efficient. I stayed during the refurbishment of the hotel to become part of the Hilton Group in early February 2012 and this caused a good deal of upheaval to breakfast in particular, but the staff coped well and were apologetic for minor glitches. The rooms are air-conditioned, the beds are comfortable, and the iMac media system comprising TV, DVD player and computer in one unit is a real bonus compared to similarly priced hotels. The location within a very short walk of Temple Meads rail station is always useful and it is only a slightly longer walk into the centre of Bristol. There is also a bus stop into the city centre right outside the hotel. Overall, this hotel offers a number of extra features not found in similarly priced hotels and it has staff who are well-trained and helpful. It has a lot going for it.

Close to Station and Town Rooms well designed and clean Staff were exceptional

Gym was closed (alternative offered) No hairdryer in room Restaurant and room service had a limited menu

No particular likes or dislikes. The hotel was clean, comfortable, modern and efficiently run and I had a good night's sleep, which was all I was looking for.

Lovely clean hotel, situated perfectly for shopping and food in the town centre. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again!

The location is excellent, less than half a mile to the train station.

I would not recommend the hotel for families with young children.

It is a clean modern hotel close to shops, bars and restaurants.

Having to pay extra for parking my car.

IMAc in the room ispretty special - you should highlight this a lot more. Parking is excellent too

Good location, reasonably priced, good breakfast served until late, pleasant rooms, staff generally pleasant.

Restaurant manager let the side down and group of drunken noisy guests(?) returning at 6.30 Sunday morning not appreciated.
