iMac in room to use, also doubles as a TV. Food was excelent. The service of the food was a little slow. Limited parking and it is charged in addition to your room.

Short walk from rail station. The hotel changed from the Mint Hotel to a Hilton Hotel. We wanted a continental breakfast but would have had to pay the full breakfast rate. We found a Wetherspoons on the way to the station instead (take the road opposite the hotel, Temple Back?, which is signposted to the station). The maps still show the name as Mint but the hotel name is displayed as Hilton -confusing.

Good central hotel and able to park with no problems. Very pleasant staff on reception desk. Clean and modern rooms with good facilities and nice toiletries. When I arrived I was told that the hotel had been double booked and that there were no twin rooms available. They had been given to a stag party. I booked this hotel several weeks ago for a special occasion (my friend's 60th birthday weekend). The staff on reception were very accommodating and organised a small extra bed in a double room which was ok but not much room and not able to put clothes in the wardrobe because the small bed was in the way.

Breakfast top marks. Peacefull location if you're at the back (like my window open). Only one complaint, location of TV difficult for both to watch from the bed.

I found the staff friendly, my room clean, spacious and comfortable and the location close to the mainline station and short distance from Bristol City Centre. I also found the room rate reasonable, although I didn't include paying for (or eating) the breakfast. I was discouraged from the fixed price breakfast - although I admit I didn't check what was included, and so cannot judge whether it was good value or not.

Excellent location, efficient check-in and departure. Spacious and comfortable room. Arrived back after night out to find room card was no longer valid, then spent 20 minutes waiting at reception for card to be fixed without any hint of an apology. Asked for customer relations address, was informed there was no such thing but I could speak to duty manager instead. not what I wanted to do in the early hours! In fairness day time staff were polite, courteous, and efficient - shame night staff were not the same.

We arrived early, around 11.30am and were delighted that we were able to book in straight away and use our room. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. Breakfast was similarly excellent and we left early at around 10.00am having enjoyed our stay.

The room n18 - the view from the window over the old garden and the old church was fabulous. There was a problem with the speakers in our room but we managed to fix it ourselves.

Reasonable price, easily accessible from Temple Meads Railway Station, reasonably near City centre, good value rooms, helpful staff. The furnishings were acceptable but could have helped if there was a luggage support.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room overlooked the park and the view was very nice.the room was a good size with everything you would need, I would definatly stay there again. The lift was making loud grating noises. It sounded frightening when it fifst happened. I did report it.

Central location, decent breakfast and good facilities in the hotel room - IMac computer in particular. Very convenient for Temple Meads rail station. The room was looking tired and in need of refurbishment - cracked wash basin, heavily scratched and very stiff tap and two burn marks on the desk. I have stayed in the City Inn in London (clearly part of the same chain) on several occasions and it was in much better condition. I wouldn't recommend the Bristol version until it's been re-furbished. Also what's wrong with the 'City Inn' branding - is much sharper and more distinctive than 'Hilton Garden'! Why so many confusing name changes - it was 'Mint Hotel' when I booked.

Convenient location The name of the hotel was changed between booking and arriving. However I was not informed and had difficulty in locating the hotel. I was £ 75 for what I expected to be bed and breakfast , but was asked to pay an extra £15 for breakfast on departure. I had dinner in the hotel , finishing with cheese and biscuits which was much more expensive than the desserts and poor value for money.

Having seen some of the reviews on here we booked this hotel with a little trepidation. I am extremely glad we eventually chose to ignore the poor reviews (negatives) as this hotel was absolutely fabulous! Smiley happy staff whenever encountered including the housemaids, bar, and reception staff, well appointed rooms (not huge but totally functional for the amount of time spent in them), clean, great faciltiies, and nice bathroom. This hotel is an absolute credit and a welcome addition to the Hilton group (this hotel was previously Mint Hotel & City Inn) and the hotel should be extremely proud of what it offers here and have no hesitation about dealing with client 'niggles' which are massively outweighed by the plus points of staying here. Would have no hesitation about staying here again.

Nice rooms with apple mac which was a nice touch had to wait 3/4 hr to check in, the place was being refurbished and so the bar was shut, and the leisure centre was closed. Some warning about this when booking should be expected
