Free wi-fi was useful, the breakfast was cooked well, there was a large TV and sky. There was a kettle and fridge in the room.
There is a pub close by and the loud music went on all night. Getting the temperature of the shower was tricky. No tea of coffee in the actual room.
The City View is ideally located for the tube, only yards from Bethnal Green underground station. The price was extremely reasonable for its location.
The hotel is situated only a few feet from the overground tube line. Trains seemed to rumble past every few mins, causing the whole room to vibrate. Although I slept through the noise, if you're a light sleeper who wants a good nights sleep this hotel (or certainly some of the rooms) is not for you!
Room was a good size
Fan didn't work
rooms too compact
Just on top of Tube station Fridge in the room Area with many restaurants and shops
Some rooms are too close to the rail tracks.
Close to Bethnal Green Tube station.
The hotel has no lift which made it very difficult for me on the second floor as I have a lung disability. The fire doors were always propped open or tied back with cord, this practise is illegal ! The room I was allocated was at the rear of the hotel with a overland train line right outside. It was very noisy and, with the accompanying vibrations, made a very uncomfortable stay. There was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities, no glass in the bathroom or hangers in the wardrobe.
Everything... Dirty, smelly mouldy bathroom. Trains passing every few minutes. Loud music from neighbouring property all night. Kettle provided but no cups, coffee, tea or sugar. Left the room to get away from the noise and sit in the lounge to find the night staff asleep on the sofa in the lounge in total darkness so went for a walk to the shop next door having to pass very smelly homeless people in the doorway. After returning at 7.30 to find the lounge still in darkness and no sign of breakfast we left to find a cafe to eat in before the trip home. Dogs have better conditions in boarding kennels than customers of this hotel. I wish I had not had to pay up front as I have been ripped off big time. Please spend your money wisely and stay elsewhere.
This hotel has been horrible!! Fotos and reality- totaly different! The walls need New color, the bathroom is very old and the bed has been very uncomfortable. But the worst thing in this city view hotel has been the view. At the opposide of our window we could see and -oft course- hear the train in a bridge. Just few meters from us. Breakfast is just from 8.00-9.30 am and the kitchen do not looked very clean. We couldn't try it, because we left before.
Very noisy, bedbugs, nothing like the photos.
The location was excellent, right in front of the underground station, less than 15 mins away from the city center. The room was small, but comfortable. There was a kettle and a fridge. The shower was new and worked perfectly.
It was a bit noisy during the night. For breakfast we had to go to a different place (but it was literally next door).
Location is pretty good - right near the metro station, breakfast was acceptable
Room was realy small
The location was very good, the breakfast was ok, there is a food market next to the hotel open till midnight, There is an "fish and chips" restaurant on the ground floor :)
If you get a room on the backside your windows will look on the trains, which are going in every 3 minutes 15 meters far from the building. We could not to sleep. Do not wait to much from the hotel . Small rooms, old fashion style and very used...
Location of hotel
Constant noise of trains leading to poor sleep
Was near to the subway.
The noise of the overground was really disturbing. The room for three was pretty small. Cleaning is not the strongest part of the staff.
Location and friendly staff
Don't be mislead by the photos The room I stayed in still had a faulty cold water tap - as previously reported by a reviewer It is noisy at the back but that's the nature of the location
close to the underground Easy check in Room.for.3 available Nice lady serving breakfast
no light in the bathroom 1toilet roll for 3people 2nights Staff or people...sleeping in the lobby sofas, seats and floor even in the.morning at 7.30 very off putting Lobby smelled of diarreah during breakfast and breakfast tables just in front of the toilet door
Intermittent ? water leaking through shower/toilet ceiling light fitting on to toilet and floor. An unpleasant and unexpected type of shower ?
Mildew on shower curtain and on bath and bathroom floor Train line 20 ft from window, room shakes with passing trains. Turned away at 1305 because "check in is 1400" Showed to room by reception staff, got there to a pile of dirty sheets and towel keeping door open and bathroom light not working. Musty smell.
The hotel is located right next to the Bethnal Green station.
The carpet and the beds in the three-bed room were completely infested with bedbugs and/or fleas, not sure which. During our stay we thought we were being stung by mosquitos but on our last day we did a closer inspection of the carpet we realized in horror what was going on. Had we realized this earlier we would have just left.
when I checked out in the morning.
Worst night sleep ever bed was like a rock Infact would of rather slept on a rock room was dirty. The Hotel is above a chip shop and you can smell it at night not the best smell. Would never go back again the place should be closed down the people who run it cleary don't know what they are doing. And I would also just like to add it seemed more like a hostel then and hotel. Would not recomed this plece to any one even a person I hate.
Located right by the tube station and close to Liverpool station made it easier to get to it after late flight. Managed to walk to central London few times so not too far from the center.
Noisy, train was right by the window and they go every few minutes even at night.
am writing these comments some 3 days later and still suffering from numerous flea bites
Location was good.
Not clean, dark, artificial lighting. Could hVe been a lot better.
Room was clean
Not welcoming Trains going pass room at night Bed hard
