It was clean, comfortable and staff were very very nice and helpful. LOCATION: exactly next to the DLR ( bow church station ) and very close to Bow road underground. The area is nice. The price is one in a million. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone!
The staff went above and beyond what you expect of a hotel in London. The self service breakfast is a great start for exploring the sights of the city.
There was not a reliable wifi connection in the rooms.
Price good location good No its not a five star Hotel but excellent value for money.Would use again it is our second stay, we are a small family business. It suits me down to the ground.
Kitchen was very clean, and you could help yourself to breakfast at anytime.
Unable to relax due to the traffic noise, with it being warm you needed the windows open
Very convenient location and excellent transport accessibility. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Reasonable price. A well equipped kitchen with free tea, milk, corn flakes and other food.
Breakfast was great. It was open kitchen with ingredients supplied. The room was clean. It was very quiet. The tv had lots of channels.
Price and location plus friendly staff
For London it was cheap, I guess Fan was in the room Public transportation was close Room was cleen
The facility was tiny Bathroom and shower was small and gross Right on a loud street
Great self-service pantry. Friendly staff. Next to Bow Church DLR station.
Nothing at this price.
Very close to tube
Room was dark and dingy. Many behind desk was very unfriendly and was sleeping on floor in morning when we left. Area that hotel was in was a bit scarey.
we found traces of bed bugs (little blood drops) from one of the rooms bed sheets. however, we didn't find traces from the bed itself but still... not a pleasant thing to find
locatia aproape de mijloacele de transport
5 minute walk from kings cross
No breakfast Small room
Close to the metro Friendly Close to two pubs Close to Tesco
Beds not the comfiest A bit loud Spring for your own bathroom the shared are not the nicest.
--Close to the subway system --Very friendly, helpful staff --Clean --Appreciated having kitchen facilities, although small and a little crowded --Price
--all the stairs to get to the room --a little "run down". Needs to have some money spend on it.
Staff are great, I regularly stay and they remember my name even if a long time has passed. Nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend the main building over the next door one though. Breakfast/snacks/drinks well stocked and freely available. Totally recommend.
Nothing, apart from the preference of the main building as stated,
The friendly lounge and kitchen area.
Trying to find it, the direction were inadequate we got quite lost and very wet going up and down the street. Lack of assistance from lobby staff on arrival
Good location, 2 minutes from the tube station, 20 minutes to the center, very helpful and friendly staff
No WIFI connection on the room even declared (2nd floor).
The staff is very polite and ready to help you. They would do anything to make your stay comfortable and nice. Rooms are very clean. Location is perfect..near to underground station. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends!!
The location is convenient. It is two-minute walk to the metro station. The rooms are small but practical. There is a kitchen downstairs where you can find refreshments for free or cook your own food. There is a gas station across the road where you can buy stuff and there is a pub where you can get a drink. If you are going to spend you whole day sightseeing and you are not going to stay in the hotel in the day time, this hotel can be an economical choice for you.
Some rooms are either in the basement or in a different part of the building. You need to make sure where exactly you are staying before you check in. Do not keep your expectations high.
Excellent location - 2mins from Bow Rd Tube & 24hr shops close by. Bedroom (1B) was large & spacious with 2 double beds and added bonus of its own kitchenette (sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc) plus dining table & chairs and large TV. High windows with not much of a view but that wasn't an issue for our 1-night stay. The summer heat was helped with a large, upright fan. The bedroom & shared bathroom plus bed linen and towels were all very clean. Beds were comfortable too. We booked this hotel for one night at just under £70 and, except for a few minor niggles, were very impressed at the level of cleanliness, comfort and the added extras making it very good value for money. Didn't get the chance to use communal kitchen.
Only issue we had before our stay was that I had emailed 2 days in advance of arriving to ask the hotel if we could check in earlier than 2pm, because we were arriving in London at 7am and the concert in Hyde Park we were going to opened at 1.30pm, so it would mean waiting for 7 hours until we could check in and then missing the start of the event. They didn't reply to the email. I then phoned at 9am that morning and was told we could check in early and leave our luggage but we wouldn't be able to get access to our room until 2pm. Fortunately we had relatives we visited first and I appreciate that hotel cleaners have to wait until previous guests have left to make up the rooms but I do feel that there could have been some flexibility with this to accommodate our early arrival - or at the very least, a reply to my initial email 2 days before. Also, the receptionist was efficient enough but seemed a bit cold and vacant, for wont of a better description. Certainly wasn't welcoming on arrival (or departure) - doesn't cost anything to crack a smile! However, these are minor issues and the quality of the room, hotel location and overall value for money means I would still recommend to others and possibly stay again.
This was my 2nd stay at CityStay, nothing changed from my first review. Staff were nice and helpful, kitchen is very good, rooms are ok.
The area might get a bit creepy during the night, but nothing to be afraid of.
As a 50 somethings guy way to many stairs . And a total rip off. But thats London I guess.
Good wifi connection in the room! I was located at the back; not much noise there. Rather good location to visit London; nearby the metro station Bow Road; (20' to picadelly circus for instance).
A better breakfast (there was mainly cereals, bread, and jam ; no orange juice, no cheese, nothing warm, except toast). Rather small rooms (but sufficient) Light coming in through the door. The hallway and breakfast area is a bit shabby. Staff is a little grumpy, saying the least possible (but they do their job).
Location good 4 visiting family
The self service breakfast, the guests was in each others way.
