the location is superb. It was near to both tube stations with a convenient coop store nearby .
we are unfortunate to have a room facing the busy road , therefore we have difficulties in sleeping.
Close to BowChurch DLR station.
Staff unpleasant and pull a face when asked for assistance! Noisy road. Showers old and uneasy to control water, toilet light take ages to light up!
The bathroom, although small, was nice and the room was clean. Bed was comfortable.
Pillows were hard, staff barely spoke, Internet connection was temperamental. The room although clean wasn't very homely, wardrobe and other furniture very basic and quite old/rickety
Comfort Breakfast Localization Cleaning Staff It was everything really great!
Location was the best bit, excellent links to both Canary Wharf and the City. Despite looking very shabby outside the rooms weren't that bad either
The broadband never worked, the area was very noisy and I asked four times for a receipt (twice in person while there and twice in writing after) and never received one.
Good location, just few meters away from subway (zone 2) and buses for the City. The area is quiet, there are many cheap markets very close. The room was clean, elementary (bed, closet, little table and TV, private bathroom with shower stall) but comfortable. Fresh towels and cleaning everyday. Freedom to go in and out at any time thanks to the front door key.
The staff is not too welcoming, they interact with customers the least possible.
Hospitality of staff
Facilities very poor No comfort at all
The guests staying in the room next door kept us up all night(s) by shouting, locking each other in to the bathroom by blocking the door with a ladder they found in the building. The staff did nothing to help us with this, all they said was "sorry, fully booked, can't give you another room". they said they would talk to the misbehaving guests but this did not help. We got no refund, this despite having booked a 'quiet room'. Also- the traffic outside the building was loud with emergency vehicles throughout the night. Shame - this was the second time we stayed here - last time was good. Will not go back - paying 70 pounds a night and not being able to sleep and staff doing nothing to solve the problem doesn't make a pleasant stay.
It was clean, comfortable and staff were very very nice and helpful. LOCATION: exactly next to the DLR ( bow church station ) and very close to Bow road underground. The area is nice. The price is one in a million. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone!
The staff went above and beyond what you expect of a hotel in London. The self service breakfast is a great start for exploring the sights of the city.
There was not a reliable wifi connection in the rooms.
Price good location good No its not a five star Hotel but excellent value for money.Would use again it is our second stay, we are a small family business. It suits me down to the ground.
I needed to stay near Stratford for an event, and had to book something last minute, so I was worried I was going to have to either pay too much for a brand hotel, or stay at a seedy place to save money. Instead the CityStay turned out to be the perfect place, because it wasn't super fancy but very comfortable, and everything that is important to be clean (sheets, towels, bathroom, etc) were, without any extra amenities to jack up the price. The outstanding part was at the end of my stay, when I thought I had lost my passport in the room and the staff went out of their way to help me search for it. They were genuinely nice about it and happy for me when I ended up finding it it my bag (oops). These are good people running a quality, economical hotel. Wish i had a reason to stay there again!
Kitchen was very clean, and you could help yourself to breakfast at anytime.
Unable to relax due to the traffic noise, with it being warm you needed the windows open
Very convenient location and excellent transport accessibility. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Reasonable price. A well equipped kitchen with free tea, milk, corn flakes and other food.
Breakfast was great. It was open kitchen with ingredients supplied. The room was clean. It was very quiet. The tv had lots of channels.
Price and location plus friendly staff
For London it was cheap, I guess Fan was in the room Public transportation was close Room was cleen
The facility was tiny Bathroom and shower was small and gross Right on a loud street
Great self-service pantry. Friendly staff. Next to Bow Church DLR station.
Nothing at this price.
Very close to tube
Room was dark and dingy. Many behind desk was very unfriendly and was sleeping on floor in morning when we left. Area that hotel was in was a bit scarey.
we found traces of bed bugs (little blood drops) from one of the rooms bed sheets. however, we didn't find traces from the bed itself but still... not a pleasant thing to find
locatia aproape de mijloacele de transport
5 minute walk from kings cross
No breakfast Small room
Close to the metro Friendly Close to two pubs Close to Tesco
Beds not the comfiest A bit loud Spring for your own bathroom the shared are not the nicest.
--Close to the subway system --Very friendly, helpful staff --Clean --Appreciated having kitchen facilities, although small and a little crowded --Price
--all the stairs to get to the room --a little "run down". Needs to have some money spend on it.
Staff are great, I regularly stay and they remember my name even if a long time has passed. Nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend the main building over the next door one though. Breakfast/snacks/drinks well stocked and freely available. Totally recommend.
Nothing, apart from the preference of the main building as stated,
