We had to wait 45 minutes for a disgusting breakfast - first time I had sawdust sausages - no soap in toilets - everything old and tatty - we stayed becasue we had to - staff barely spoke English - would not go back if I was paid to.

I booked this on the internet with booking.com. When our contractors arrived they refused to stay as the rooms were dirty and shabby and not of a good enough standard. Although they complained they were not given any alternative. Our credit card was charged 600.00 for nothing. This is a rip off, I contacted the hotel owner and he said he would give a refund but this has not been done. I intend to contact Trading Standards about the charging for the full cost of rooms when guests cancel at short notice.

Location and car parking Budget accomodation would be the most polite expression for a property that is poorly maintained. Due to the poor condition, curtains were held up with string and therefore did not block out the neon sign. Didn't get the breakfast we paid for as no tables available to sit at so went to McDonalds, did not stay the second night that was booked and paid for. That says it all!!

Quite a good location, near Heathrow. The people at check in were not helpful, room was noisy since the windows didn't seal. Both rooms I stayed in needed repairs to several items.

The staff were very pleasant, the breakfast was good value. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room were generous Although the room and linens were clean, the shower cubicle was stained and uninviting. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were like bricks. The curtains were tied with string to the curtain rails. Being on a main road and the flight path for Heathrow, it was also very noisy

Leaving!!! We stayed only one night and cancelled the rest of the pre- booked stay. The room allocated was next to a busy corridor and door slamming loudly all night. Waited 1 1/2 (yes one and half hours ) for breakfast and gave up! There was no cutlery, crockery glasess. It was like fawlty towers but without the food. Rooms shabby. Towels & linen threadbare no sleep due to niosy corridor and door slamming all night no breakfast tea or coffe even after a patient one and half hour wait

It was reasonably clean very tatty, very noisy, curtains falling down, horrible old and very worn carpets and furnishings, uncomfortable bed, poor breakfast - alltogther a very bad experience and not worth the money I would have been better off in a travel lodge. if it was my guest house I would be ashamed of it. Absolutley no money at all has been spent on this place for a very long time and it really shows.

The bed was comfortable and it was near a lovely park. Where should I start.Outside was tatty and rounddown. Inside was dark, in desperate need of repair, again tatty, no personality or style, nothing matched everything was old and worn or broken and their unidentified hazards. Staff not that interested in their surroundings, the guests or ech other. The nicest person was the first person we met who showed us to the rooms. The rooms had broken dado rails, very bad repairs and in need or repainting. The shower had mould and was tiny, the bathroom shelf was held on with a screw hanging out of the wall and old, cracked filler.

Waiting late in the evening after a long flight to check in while staff took personal call, cracked tiles and mould in bathroom, rusty radiator, stained carpet, paint peeling from walls, discovering hair on the bed sheet and finally trying to make a cup of tea only to find that the milk in several uht containers was off - the consistency of yoghurt, in fact. All these things contributed to an extremely poor first impression. Further, the night duty person replenished the milk with milk that was even more rancid - blaming the milk company as irresponsible. Worst of it was, I paid 22 pound for a taxi to the 79 pound Civic Guest House - driving past a number of well appointed 99 pound places - and arriving to find rooms at the Guest House advertised on a large banner on the front from 30 pound. Still too much in my view. Not recommended.

Cleanliness in the room was good and it was comfortable but not cheap. Breakfast was good but employee was not adequate to serve so they were out of order sometime. Cockroaches in room, rude services, change of room after my second day of stay was the worst part of my stay in Civic guest house. You feel very bad when a hotel staff don't smile.

Good location to Heathrow airport.Good location to tube station. Good breakfast. Comfortable room (single) with BR/ Staff is very helpful and polite. Very noisy due to proximity to the airport and a road. Next time I decide to stay at the hotel I'll use earplug. Room with no presnce of a chair.
