This is a very comfortable hotel which provides plenty of lounge areas to spend time if the weather is bad. Very well thought out for the Scottish climate.
It's a little far from town to walk comfortable . No problem if you are driving.
The view of the loch and the wonderful, friendly staff. The room was comfortable and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nothing. It's a lovely hotel.
At check-in staff member was very helpful. Room was spacious and bed was amazingly comfortable. At first the room was a bit chilly but it heated up in no time once we figured out how to turn the radiator on. Breakfast in the morning was great, with a great view of the loch.
Hotel was a bit far from the main area of the city. We didn't have a car and there is no public transit that goes past the hotel so had to rely on taxis. the food I had in the restaurant at dinner was nothing to rave about, except for the toffee pudding dessert which was delicious.
Waking up every morning and going for breakfast with a stunning view of the sun rising over Loch Linnhe!
The hair dryer was a bit dated but it did work.
The name, friendly staff, location.
The bar did not open till 6pm........it would have been nice if we could have gone a had a few drinks when we arrived and in the other afternoons. A deouble bed bed would have been nice - not singles.
Everything there was perfect including the staff at breakfast her name was Rebecca she was so kind and helpfull too deserves a part on the back.
The traditional style of hotel The friendliness of staff The food both at breakfast and dinner No midgies (October stay!) Scenery
Nice and tidy rooms. Staff very friendly.
views price cleanliness food everthing was great and is worth a stay
A comfortable soft bed.
The ventilation system in a bathroom is horrible: once you switch on the lights the fan starts dinning. The noise is so loud is as you stand near the massive airplane or somewhere inside of the industrial engine. You can hardly brook this noise for 3 min. The receptionist wasn't very helpful saying that there is no point to change a room as these ventilators are installed in all rooms of the hotel. Thus, during our stay had to use the bathroom in a darkness in order to avoid this irritating noise. The small light just about the sink did not work either. Also water in bathroom was hardly running away - seems that bathroom tube was quite clogged.
Old style motel Clean but needs and update In a time warp
Room was excellent, very spacious and comfortable. Great having our dog with us
A wee bit further from the town than would have liked! Not everything on menu was available
Lovely view over the loch, even if it was raining all the time
Promised wifi but could only connect occasionally.
staff were very friendly, facilities were excellent, view amazing, very clean and comfortable.
Lovely clean and comfortable room..we ate at the restaurant and the food was very good..all freshly cooked by order. Very good menu for breakfast..plus continental.Comfy lounge with view of Loch. Friendly staff.
The hotel is on the busy A82 but you dont notice the road once in the hotel.
Staff friendly and helpful
2 miles out of Fort William
Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff, will stay there again.
The weather was very bad for the 3 days we were there with high winds and rain, and, it was so nice to come back onto a warm comfortable room
Loacation fab, hotel very nice, rooms clean. staff very nice
Resaurant/,breakfast time needs bit of tweeking as some staff may need some training
The view from the hotel is remarkable. Amazing sunrises at breakfast and sunsets at dinner. The restaurant is very tasty. We arrived before our room was ready, but the very nice woman at the desk offered us tea in the lounge (even though the bar and restaurant were closed). Sincere hospitality here. Room was clean and comfortable.
Hotel is about a 30 min walk into town. Not a bad thing, but important to be aware of if you don't have a car. Wifi doesn't work everywhere in the hotel.
Very good value for money and stunning views over loch made breakfast very enjoyable. Loved the porridge!
Everything about the hotel was excellent
Excellent breakfast Large room Great heating Polite staff
Terrible WiFi ....not available in room and not even available in some lounge areas.
- location, lovely room with view of the lake, convenient spot, good breakfast
- seemed a bit high in price
Very good view, excelent breakfast, and staff. Very clean with large rooms
Poor WiFi in some areas, The hotel is quite far from the city centre so you have to take a taxi or to have your own car.
