the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were beautiful and safe for our 17 month baby to play in for an executive room it was very poor. My husband had to sleep on the floor because the bed was so hard and the bedclothes smelt funny, the bathroom was very small and there was no fridge in the room, all in all quite disappointed

I mentioned on my booking that I was gluten free, the hotel was brilliant, they got me gluten free bread for sandwiches and some gluten free buns for a snack, at the wedding I got all gluten free food and even for breakfast the next morning they provided me with gluten free sausages and gluten free toast. First time I have ever been to a hotel that was so accomodating. Brilliant, highly recommended. Room was also lovely, was able to check in early before the wedding however check out is 11am which was a little early! Highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, comfortable room, quiet rural location. The reception/bar area is cosy with a central fire. Friendly and helpful staff. The cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The continuous piped music in the reception/bar area is annoying, particularly if you are sitting below one of the speakers.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely decorated and warm. The location was excellent as I was attending a Christmas Party at the hotel. There is no pool/spa on site. You need to go to the nearby golf club for one.

Staff were very helpful and attentive. We were part of a large party for Christmas festivities and the food was excellent as also was the entertainment. Breakfast was served in the bedroom and arrived at the correct time. It was excellent and much appreciated. It is in a very convenient setting, close to the city but set in pleasant surroundings.

The location to Bangor and the airport, professional staff The cooked breakfast was poor, tasteless potato bread and cheap sausage, commercial black pudding...then a £3.50 payable surcharge for the hot breakfast, so not 'breakfast included' then? To be fair I was not asked pay this, my room had cafetiere coffee but no cafetiere

An excellent 4 star hotel, in beautiful surroundings, with an exceptionaly friendly and professional staff - the hotel design and rooms were of a luxurious standard, with the presentation and quality of meals matching the very high standard of this hotel. A place to revisit and to enjoy.

We attended a wedding during our stay at the Clandeboye Lodge which was excellent, the staff first class and the facilities very good.Ask for a room on the third floor if you want a view of the country side. Breakfast first class. Drink prices seem to be a bit on the excessive side, but then you do have the comfort of the hotel.
