The staff are all excellent at the hotel; friendly, efficient and approachable. The taps in the room are ridiculous.

Modern but quirky room design, nice beds very comfy. Great Tv with DvD player. Great breakfast, lot of choice and friendly staff. The Wifi signal was very weak and keep cutting out.

Loved how the interior is a complete contrast to the outside, the staff were helpful, the food was out of this world, the room was sumptuous. The only thing (& there really isn't anything the hotel can do about this) is the noise from the promenade - pedestrians & traffic. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice style to the hotel and good food and nice staff. Nice reception area bar etc. Very noisy rooms. Sound insulation is needed in the rooms in this old building. You can hear every foorstep as people go past and doors closing. We had two rooms and both had this problem.

Pleasant helpful staff, comfortable bed, well equipped room, immediate hot water, efficient wireless internet connection included, very good breakfasts My room was at the back of the hotel and the early morning bin collections were an unwelcome wake-up call. Evening meals were of only passable quality.

My room was upgraded on arrival to a Luxury room, which was fantastic The door to the room opening directly on to corridor by the fire door which mention it was quite noisy throughout the evening and early in the morning.

The rooms are modern and well designed. The bed was very comfortable. I stayed in a nicer room on a previous visit - wet-room, more space in the room, and was expecting this again. However the room was not up to quite the same standard. The door in the corridor outside my room was squeeky and the floorboards were quite creaky too. This woke me up several times in the night.

Location was ideal for business and to enjoy the view. Breakfast service in the dining room was slow - appeared to be more geared to families/holiday makers with time on their hands, rather than business people in a hurry to get to meetings. My room and bathroom were very spacious, but the bathroom had clearly had a problem with the shower leaking and a strong damp smell lingered. Room 207.

The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and clean on the whole. However there was bird dropping on the bathroom blind which was never attended to. Having said that it did not detract from our stay. I am hard of hearing so asked for subtitled to be available on our television. This request was not granted, which was not a great problem, but I would have expected to be advised of this when checking in.
