Well placed to reach pier, shops, coast, good wet room, loved the big 'frig. It was airborne week ( we didn't know this) so it was extremely busy, hotel right near pier vicinity so lots of people and noise going past, particularly during the night, difficult to get to sleep. Food plentiful but dinner unpleasant, gravy like frogspawn. Breakfast okay. |

Staff excellent friendly and helpful. Hotel felt safe and secure staffed downstairs at night. Rooms comfy. Restaurant attractive. Breakfast was a bit cold and dry (bacon and eggs hard) but other food very good. |

The kind attention of the staff, nothing was to much trouble. When it was changed to a carvery, prefer service. Bathroom slightly inadequate - needed some hooks and maybe a shelf. Also perhaps a stool to sit on after a shower as difficult for the elderly to stand and dry. |

Staff extremely nice, upgraded my room from single to double. Have stayed before as is convenient and cheap and have always enjoyed my stays there. Unfortunately, the room next to mine was occupied by a very noisy guest, who attempted to gain entrance to my room several times during the afternoon and also played the TV at oppressive volumes during the night and next morning. |

The management and staff welcome you to the award winning Grand Hotel, also known as 'The White Palace'. Standing imperiously at the west end of King Edward's Parade and dominating the shore line. |
