Lack of car parking but managed
Excellent food, entertainment and friendly desk front staff, extremely helpful and very friendly
No telephone in room, essential to contact reception in an emergency. Some rooms small bathrooms, need showers only.....
The massage and leisure facilities
Having no hot water for two days and the Saturday manager was rather abrupt over the water situation. The dinner service was poor but food was good.
location food very good and plentiful staff friendly room very clean
not much will be booking for next year
The walls were paper thin and we could hear the adjoining room who wear very loud at 1am.
Food was very good The food was very good
The up and down stairs
From the minute we got there tillwe left ,we all had a great time,my daughter son in law and granddaughter.Big spacious hotel everyone lovely n friendly Bedroom 309 had a brilliant sea view.Daughter was round the back and not so good,so make sure u ask for sea view.Meals were more than adequate Different choice and waiter service, then help yourself for desserts.Breakfast average but plentiful and hot and cooked very well.Toaster conked out on 2nd morning and was a bit of a wait for toast but nothing drastic.I thoroughly recommend The Claremount.Ill def be going back next yearAll in all Id give 9/10,Loved it,
Bathroom ..oh dear Who designed these bathrooms Toilet was cramped between bath n wall Also realy need to update downstairs for a toilet block, had to go downstairs again in the lift to use toilets in the basement Not very good These were the only bad faults .
food entertainment friendlyness staff
haveing to go downstairs to the toilet
From the moment we walked into the reception of the Claremont you could sense the friendly atmosphere. Staff were very knowledgeable and always on hand to give advice. All in all a lovely place to stay.
Our bedroom was next to a corridor door which was quite noisy when trying to sleep.
Overall the hotel and staff could not be faulted. Entertainment very good..
Car parking facility very poor.
The location was good as just out of the busy area but still on the front. Breakfast was good and range of timing meant a sleep in was an option if needed. Although not bad, parking is limited and you car may be blocked in so easy of using car during you stay becomes convoluted. The staff were lovely though. Very helpful.
Narrow corridors and one narrow staircase to the accommodation levels. Bed was very soft, not to my liking but that's just my opinion of course.
Disabled facilities are poor. My Aunty who is wheelchair dependant was informed that there was a shower over the bath that she could use. She was unable to use this as the shower was fixed and she cant step into the shower due to her disability. Therefore not suitable for those who are wheel chair dependant unless you don't want to shower!
Stayed oct half term plenty for kids. Ent team & good kids area. Adult net on inc comedien singer & bingo. Also plenty of chill out area with bar service. Kids can wander around & meet friends. Rooms are basic but clean. Bathrooms are adequate although snug around the toilet.
Small toilet area.
Good family entertainment, excellent food, clean rooms, friendly staff, easy 4 transport.
One small lift ,narrow corridor, noisy fire doors, squeaky floorboards onfirst floor.
The hotel is in a good position. The dining room was very pleasant and the food was good.
For the price we paid I expected better. Our room was run down and very old fashioned. The staff on reception were not helpful and some were quite rude. We wont be going back.
DJ Ryan is a star!
Pool can get overcrowded. Parking is difficult.
Food was excellent ,staff attentive, great entertainment
Not hotels fault , floor boards and people slamming doors in. the morning ,can't be helped
Lovely old style hotel
Very difficult with luggage had to go through to many heavy fire doors and steps.
We liked everything about hotel
Not enough carpaking Lift to small
We liked the personnal touch in the dining room, we had the same table for all meals. Entertainment was good. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
The only thing we didnt like was small bathroom and no handrail in the bath. As I am in my 70's, I didn't feel safe to have a shower.
Almost everything the buffet breakfast was very good and the evening meal was also very good although by the time you take the fish options off and the veggie meal not a big choice left.
The noise from the ducting outside our room which started early morning preventing any further sleep. When I reported this at reception was not given a great deal of help and told I could not speak to a manager as they were in a meeting.
The room was much bigger than an average hotel room with 2 comfortable chairs and a sea view which we didn`t expect. The room was very clean and plenty of tea, coffee and milk. The food was very good indeed with plenty of choice.
The only negative would be the small bathroom but for 2 nights it was fine.
breakfast was excellant bar service was very good .the room cleanliness was very good.Entertainment was good. we stayed for two nights and have already booked to come back in the new year
all staff friendly. all food really good evening meal worth every penny. all areas really clean. great time
