Our stay was great in the apartment lovely house very spacious just wow
Bed so comfy Bathroom huge and clean Food was lovely
The hotel was lovely set in lovely grounds
Food was excellent
This hotel is a real Jem, weekend package is very good value, food is excellent. The grounds are lovely. Would definitely come back.
Breakfast was not included in the room rate. I had 2 slices of toast and a pot of tea which cost £15.95. Not good value at all !!! The kettle in room 8 was not working correctly - it switched off before boiling. When I went to reception to mention this, there was no one available, otherwise I would have had tea in my room instead of paying £15.95 for tea and toast
Space in the apartment and facilities.
Everything was perfect
The bed - very comfortable Restuarant waiter service was very good and wine also VG.
Lack of Wi Fi - this is a must even if you have to pay a few ££ (though price i paid for the room should justufy free - it is at other comparable hotels). The room i stayed in had been recently painted (though it was difficult to see where, may be the windows were) so had quite a strong paint smell. Although the room was clean and comfortable it was dated and probably not worth the price I paid. If it was around £99 it would, however, be good value, but at £150 it wasn't when i compare it to the likes of Abby House (where i have paid £99). Dinner was very average for the price - certainly presented well but the protein amount (fish) was scant to say hte least and overcooked - again not priced accordingly.
The helpful staff, the location was perfect for us, the room with the biggest shower tray I've seen. Parking immediately outside the room door. Superb food very well served. Sunday lunch was of the best. Wife considered the breakfast buffet-table best ever. I reckon the choice of cooked breakfasts would be hard to beat.
Poor wifi signal away from public rooms but caused little difficulty.
Very nice location, very nice inside :)
Room was very bare, 4 poster bed was very creaky, stopped me from falling asleep straight away didn't feel safe
Bedroom too hot and the dining room was closed on the evening we stayed at the hotel and this had not been made known to us at the time of booking.
Clean and comfortable.
Restaurant was fully booked so had to dine out, which meant driving and thus no alcohol.
The staff were brilliant and very helpful The breakfast was very good The gardens were lovely
The décor in places was very tired the carpet in the restaurant was ripped and torn and covered in paint in one part. The resident parking was terrible NO car parking spaces available as there was a event on could not get car parked. The cottages where we stayed were noisy with people leaving and coming in at 2:30 and 5:30
Poor wifi in rooms located out of the main building. Problem almost fixed before I left, I was there a week, but performance not that good.
The room was tired, and cramped. The shower was mouldy.
Poor bathroom facilities. Very noisy bathroom water pipes. Very, very bad internet connection in room.
to be honest everything. from first impressions a pretty hotel great decor lovely room. Staff amazing and food excellent on of the best english breakfasts in history. an allround top experience we will definitely be back
great bathroom all the facilities but the water prerssure was very poor. nothing worse than having a big jacuzzi bath and iot takling 20 minutes to fill
Comfortable room, excellent food, friendly staff.
Beautiful terrace and restaurant. Very comfy bed.Lovely ambiance and delicious food. Can't wait to go again!
the step, just inside the bedroom door - warning signs up but still forgot it was there!
your wonderful staff- your wonderful food- I am still in awe that we managed to find you . there will be another buddist event for World Peace and I'll be back I cannot think of anything for your "didn't like" comment
Pretty hotel in nice location.
When I booked, I was not told that there was a wedding booked for the same night. The noise was awful, the dinner was horribly disturbed (the staff took no notice of complaints from me and several other guests) and then the wedding party started fighting. Definitely not a hotel to stay in for businessmen.
