Clean and spacious bedroom with a newly refurbished ensuite. Staff were very helpful when required. Good breakfast. Lack of herbal tea choice in bedroom and, as it was mild when we stayed, no need for the heating to be on so high as it made the room uncomfortable.

Beautiful hotel - simple and tasteful. Staff were ever helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good (though some standbys in the freezer for vegetarians would be appreciated!). Would stay here again and would certainly recommend. Couldn't fault the hotel or staff but dearly wish I could say the same for the restuarant. Menu looked delicious, but food itself was disappointing. Definitely wouldn't eat there again. Sorry!

Had a very pleasant stay on a short weekend break. Well located in a quiet regency square with a short walk into town. Stayed in a standard room which was nicely decorated with a modern bathroom. Enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant and breakfast was also good. Made to feel very welcome by the staff.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was nicely decorated with a refurbished bathroom with great large shower cubicle. The breakfast was very good, with huge portions, in fact a bit too large, for me anyway.

Nothing ! Grimy to say thye least, very poor value and in need of serious modermisation. To describe this as a four star hotel is gross misrepresentation !! Apalling ! I would not reccommend anyone to stay there.

Conveniently placed for town centre and for visiting the Cotswolds countryside. Large rooms, with good facilities. Good breakfast On the basis of the standard of one evening meal we had in the hotel, we feel unable to recommend the restaurant.

The staff were very friendly, and our room guard Marmalade was so cute! Although the beds in the room were quite small, the room itself was clean and cozy.We managed to use the internet connection in our room as soon as we arrived there which we appreciated so much. I also must mention about the food served at the restaurant downstairs was excellent. The walls between rooms seemed quite thin, so we could hear the noises coming from other rooms (we actually heard someone coughing in other room!). And we had a problem with the door for bathroom and couldn't shut properly.

We had a great stay at Clarence Court, the room was very pleasantly appointed and spotlessly clean. While I agree with others that the stairs are hard work I actually liked the view from the top floor! My friends had rung the hotel and booked direct as they wanted a ground floor room and they got a complimentary upgrade to a superior room on the ground floor, which was also very nice. (I will ring direct next time!!) The restaurant downstairs was very good with a good choice of homemade dishes and it was very reasonably priced compared to other hotel restaurants I have been to. Breakfast the next morning was freshly cooked and very filling plus a good selection of cold items on a buffet

“We were very happy with our choice of this hotel. It is in a fairly quiet area, but an easy walk to Cheltenham town center (less than a mile) and the main bus stop (about a mile). The rooms were very clean and the owners were just wonderful. Friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. They made us feel welcome and at home. We were served hot breakfast each morning. There is a restaurant with both a pub menu and formal menu (and full bar) - the options are varied and the food was fabulous. We had our 4 year old with us and they were great in accommodating special food requests for her. She begged to eat dinner there every night. Our family suite actually had a separate room for her, which was a nice surprise. We were there two weeks and had a great experience. ” Mikal, Jacksonville |
