lovely building (exterior & interior) in very convenient and tidy location close to some of the most vibrant parts of the city. the staff were very courteous and helpful and the rooms as well as the communal areas were immaculate. was very happy to have chosen this hotel and wouyld recommend it. just slightly expensive room rate but not excessive. but the breakfast is highly over priced and would suggest they look at re-pricing it, if indeed they are interested in providing breakfast as a convenience and service to its customers. our entire party of 12 all chose to eat at the cafe/bar across the way in southampton row of which was of excellent stanndard and service, and a full english breakfast was priced at £7.50, (literally a third of the cost at the Claredon!)

Good location. Quiet area but pubs/restaurants all within short walk. Nearest tube station about five minutes. £240 for three nights on a weekend seemed very reasonable when compared to others in the area (I was was booking last minute). Stain on the bed sheets, old and well worn but nonetheless. Significant noise from landing. No minibar/fridge in room. Would still recommend if the price is as low as we had it.

Well located, rooms very good and nicely furnished. Staff were excellent. We got a free room upgrade which was very nice of the hotel. One slight drawback, the room we stayed in was an ex-smoking room or previous guests had smoked in it. It was tolerable.

Very good location with easy access which for central London was relatively quiet. The room we were given was appalling. A 4 foot(?) double bed placed tight against the wall of a small, narrow room to permit access into the bathroom made it almost impossible for two normal sized people to turn over let alone sleep. The single radiator was covered by the floor length curtains to the single glazed window; interesting in December even for country bumpkins! The bedding was clean but not the bed cover. The bathroom extractor fan did not work so there was no ventilation to the bathroom and the drains smelt. Finally the shower thermostat was defective and only operated at a temperature so hot it was not possible to use. Why not just let it as a single room and not get feedback like this? The rest is just down to poor management. Rip off London personified!

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Cleaning staff very efficient. Adequate storage space for one week´s worth of clothes for two people. Bath much too deep; Dangerous to get into and out of with no appropriately placed grab bars.

We were upgraded to a very large room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was immaculate. The one thing that wasn't quite up to standard was the shower.

A quiet, elegant place. Our standard double was a little compact - not unusual for London - but cleverly designed and really quite luxurious. The bathroom was so clean, it sparkled. And importantly, the bed was comfortable.

Spacious room, bathroom. Very convenient for what we wanted to do in London. We were actually placed next door in the Buckingham. Expensive breakfast, did not equate with the overall price. Low water pressure on hot in bath. (In the Buckingham).

I was phoned on the day of arrival to see what time we would be arriving, which I though was nice. We were given then a upgrade to a delux room in the basement overlooking the garden which was very spacious and quiet and spotlessly clean. The bed is probably the the most comforatable bed I have hade the pleasure in sleeping in. The staff are very helpul without being overbearing. Special thanks to ekatarina and her collegue in training . didnt have the breakfast so cant comment on the food. Execcelent location for waking london main areas and all the theatres and clubs Only downpoint the water pressure was bad.
