Room OK but not as luxurious and well decorated as The Dorchester. We thought Gordon's Ramsay's at Claridges was very ordinary food at exhorbitant prices. Our lunch cost £200.00 and we only had one drink each. This would have been fine if it had been a spectacular meal but we have had much better locally here in Derbyshire. On Sunday morning we wanted a very light breakfast because we had booked lunch elsewhere. We had a fruit juice coffee, berries and yoghurt. The cost for this was £69.00. That's right £69.00!!!!!! A total rip off.

The hotel staff for excellent and extremely polite and helpful although in honesty I didn't have too trouble them with anything too much. The room (we had a deluxe) was lovely and the bathroom huge and luxurious and the location was also superb. It definitely has the wow factor and a prestige feel - you feel a bit special when you walk through the revolving door! There were 3 phones in the bedroom (a little excessive) and all had illuminated display meaning the bedroom at night was still light!! Also the room service is very expensive as is the mini bar but I guess you kind of expect this in a 5star hotel. Nothing really to grumble at though!

What an amazingly beautiful hotel. Art deco detailing all over the building and inside room Staff were beyond helpful and polite Only stayed for one night as we were leaving for new york early the next morning. What a shame we were devasted to be leaving so soon, Perfection from beginning to end, beautiful lobby, amazing room with the most comfortable bed I haver ever slept in!! Got a complimentary room upgrade from staff which was a lovely gesture. Turndown service in room when we returned from a meal at 10pm

My favourite hotel in London by a margin. This hotel has real character, great rooms and is well located. Staff are remarkably friendly and efficient given the amount of people milling about. The noise insulation of the windows looks old and is ineffective in quite a number of rooms.

Lobby and room service staff are the best. Location is excellent. 2 minute walk from Oxford and Bond. Housekeeping is probably the worst for a 5 star hotel

The room was clean quietand adequate. The staff pleasant and unobtrusive checking out was unpleasant as I was charged a double rate for the room .This was only changed when I produced a copy of my resrevation confimation.I had confirmed the same on checking in.An apology was not forthcoming and the situation was embarassing.

The welcome from the receptionist was outstanding and we were very kindly given an upgrade to a one bed suite. Also the maids were extremely courteous and obliging. The hotel is not good for children. There are no relaxing areas to have a cup of tea and not worry that your child decides to express themselves vocally! You very much feel you have to hide in your room!

The staff were all friendly and when they found out it was my birthday they did everything to make sure it was a special stay and one to remember. The food at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant was delicious. Overall a fantastic hotel and definitely somewhere I will recommend friends and family to go to.

Its a wonderful hotel. Superbly stylish, dripping in nostalgia and yet totally at comfort with what you expect as a modern day guest in the way of service and efficiency. The staff are fabulous, so helpful and very attentive. Our suite was gorgeous, a delight to stay in. The restaurants were top quality. Breakfast is always a treat but Gordon Ramsey at Claridges was superb. And to top off a marvellous meal my husband, i and our six year old son got a private tour of the kitchen! Just perfect in every way. Nothing- its all fabulous

It was an experience that I would definitely do again, however,a nice brew first thing in the morning is always good. You have to include that in room service if you want tea/coffee making in your room.At cheaper hotels you take it for granted, but there, it is another way of making more money out of you.We did not have breakfast, but I asked for a kettle and two cups and teabags, never even got the milk!!! So Claridges, please could we see this? I paid a lot of money for us to stay there, surely a cuppa in the room,is not much too much to ask for?
