The staff were very helpful allowing me to store my expensive race bicycle in a locked room rather than having to leave it in the car.

relaxed atmosphere, good location, good value Needs redecorating and some maintenance externally - dirty walls, paint peeling off, general lack of attention to detail by management.

Room was clean and spacious. The restaurant is a disaster. Service was consistenly slow and apologetic. Had to wait 15 mins before being offered a drink or menu. Belly of pork, whilst expectantly fatty was 95% fat with virtually no meat. I was offered a new dish FOC. I chose salmon but then had to wait a further half hour. At breakfast they took my order for tea and toast. It still hadn't arrived after 20 mins and I had to leave for an appointment. Won't be dining there again for sure.

The staff were brilliant, all from arranging us an early check in as we were attending a wedding at another hotel, and then booking us taxi's. The room although very clean was also very dated and old fashioned.

Lovely comfy room, great bed, good nights sleep, nice late check out. Went down for a drink at about 5pm - no one around at the bar so unable to get a drink.

The accommodation, reception and location. Our stay coincided with a wedding party and, as a result, our evening meal was poor with the excuse; "There's a wedding on", which suggested we were not as important. The wine, too, was inferior.

Great rooms. The peace and quiet and friendly staff. Good value as we booked through Booking.com When we eventually found the bar it didn't have much of a selection of beers and there didn't seem to be a bar person on duty so in the end, after waiting for 5 minutes we didn't bother with a drink and went to bed.

The food was very good, a varied menu and good quality. I don't know his name but the young blonde haired guy, I presumed to be either a manager or under manager was very good, he seem to be very clued up and dealt with issues very well. I Stayed in room 207 *Could not switch radiator off in my room, I had to wedge the valve shut with a book *Balcony door glass dirty *Cobwebs in the room and bathroom *No biscuits with room tea and coffee *No fan in the fitness area. this area is hot as it is near to the pool and needs fans for the running machines, also there is no cleaning products to use on the machines after using them. Service in the restaurant bar could be very slow.

We stayed in the delux suite which was nicely appointed and well equipped, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food excellent with a good choice, generous portions, couldn't manage desert. We had a problem with BBC on the TV but maintenance came straight away and re-tuned the TV, good selection of channels. Would stay again. The hotel generally needs a good redecoration with particulary attention to the pool & gym area.

Spacious, comfy beds, nice pool We had a large family gathering at Great Harwood and not everybody could stay at my sister's, so we were an "overflow" group, which worked well. The whole place needs a bit of a face life- woodwork shabby, pool changing room very basic. A group next door from a wedding party on saturday made a lot of noise till 5am when a member of staff knocked on their door-so not much sleep that night! I thought the booking was pre- paid, (clearly stated on the e-mail from booking.com) The hotel insisted not- and when I got home and checked bank statements it was indeed owing. Rather harsh, I sort of felt I'd paid twice!

The staff could not do enough for you. The rooms were clean and a good size. Breakfast was tasty. Hotel is in huge need of a refurb. We arrived at 17:15 to attend a wedding @ 19:00 to be told could not get anything to eat until 19:00. Wherever you go in the hotel you can't find any staff it's like a ghost town. When you do eventually find someone they are very helpful.

Comfortable room, plenty of parking, friendly staff. Ideal location for where we needed to be. Although clean and tidy, could do with a decor refresh. Found the bar very pricey. Gym only had four pieces of equipment in it, in a room you could just about swing a cat.

Breakfast - the best cooked breakfast we have had in any hotel! We had a suite with lounge, seperate very large bedroom, bathroom with bath and seperate shower and seperate toilet. Extremely good value for money. Hotel is now extremely tired and in need of a complete makeover. The furniture is fine, in fact very solid furniture, just a little old fashioned now. However, once this has been done, then the price with triple at least!! As it is at the moment, it is still extremely good value for money .
