We stayed at the Foxfields to attend a wedding a few miles away. Several relatives also stayed there and the facilities were really good for being there as a group - plenty of places to wait/meet each other, a spacious bar and sitting areas. The facilities in the junior suite we really good and the bed was very comfortable. The location is lovely and we enjoyed watching the rabbits outside our room early in the morning.

Price was good probably partly due to time of year and that the hotel is in need of renovation This Hotel is in need of renovation in all areas The bar facilities were poor with only one bar staff and no optics slowing down service with all drinks hand measured

Gymnasium was a little small but good sauna/steam room and pool facilities. Overall very good and throughly enjoyable experience. Thank you.

Good location, huge rooms,( I had a junior suite). Spotless, quality fittings.. 2 T.v's, loveley bathroom. As it's a little away from the town, I felt abliged to eat in, however the restaurant is superb, and the food well cooked. The leisure facilities are a little dated but well worth trying out. For £44 how can travelodge/premier lodge compete? When booking in I was told breakfast was £8, however, after partaking, I found it was £13.95.... continental was £8! a bit pricey I think, no wonder I was the only one in there! Having said that, the bacon, sausage, egg was delicious.... And I stay out at least twice a week.

Close to the m6. Very friendly, helpful Staff, who assisted me when my Sat Nav went wrong! I arrived too late for a meal, but was offered a nice sandwich. The room was nice and big and had a very comfortable bed. The bath wasnt very tempting and the shower didnt have adjustments, so the water was too hot for a shower. I paid for a double room, but had to pay an additional £10 for my dog. I think that breakfast should be included in the price.

Helpful staff and breakfgast was OK. Room was smokey but I refused offer to move. Curtins did not close properly but housekeeing knew this but had not fixed this. No paper arrived and one morning I was not asked whether I wanted tea or coffee for breakfast. Second day was all OK. Got the value I paid for but would have been annoyed if I had paid full price.

I booked the hotel for the wrong date on the internet; not sure how I did that? I had booked it for 2/10/11 and turned up at 9pm on 7/9/11. The wonderful lady on reception (Lesley) sorted everything out for me and changed the whole booking that evening with Booking.com who were also fantastic. No extra charges. The only problem was that food stoppped serving at 9pm when I had arrived, but the lady on reception ordered the kitchen to make me a sandwich which was great. I was really panicked when I arrived (being a lady on my own), but the receptionist put me at ease and treated me very well. Also thanks to booking.com for not kicking up a stink for the changed booking. :)

I liked the fact that the superior suites give you a separate lounge and bedroom (well worth the money). The superior suites also have patio doors, I smoke so this was ideal. The staff are really nice and do there best to accommodate their guests. The surroundings are picturesque, with a quaint little farm adjacent to the hotel. You are woken by the sound of roosters, which I found quite quaint,my partner found this annoying. The hotel has leisure facilities, with a good sized swimming pool and a fully equipt gym/steam room and sauna. The place needs refurbishing, the carpets are a bit grotty and furniture is dated.

Found this hotel on Booking.com and it was excellent value for money, clean and the location was very handy for a wedding we went to at Whalley Abbey, which was just 1.5 miles away with some lovely views along the way. Definitely recommend it. The breakfast was a little pricey so didn't partake, but might have been a nice end to the stay if it was a little cheaper like the room. Definitely would stay here again though!

The suites were large and a big surprise for the price we paid. There were quite a few dubious stains on the carpet in the bedroom and on opening a cupboard in the lounge area it was evident there had been a water leak.In fact there were several places in the dining room where fresh plaster board had been fitted but not finished we assume because of water damage. The evening meals were only average in quality and we thought quite pricey for what they were.

Very nice bedroom with adjoining dressing room/desk work. The room we had overlooked a meadow with chickens and rabbits. Nice courtyard. Close to Whalley where there are a number of pubs and the Swan does food up to 8.45pm if you want a change from the hotel. Good base to see the Trough of Bowland which in my opinion matches anywhere in England. Blak mold on bath surround.

The recent refurbishment was evident. Our room/suite was extremely swish, comfortable and excellent value for money - although I think we were upgraded as the hotel was far from full. The pool and fitness facilities were a bonus. The hotel lacked atmosphere, perhaps because it was far from full. The bar was open only on request - therefore unused - perhaps because of its limited choice.

The most noticeable impact that the hotel had on me was the size of the rooms. The rooms came with a seperate lounge and tv, as well as the bedroom with tv and the large bathroom. The view from the room was excellent also despite the bad weather! The facilities at the hotel were excellent and there was plenty of carparking. I was a little disappointed with the booking in procedure by the staff. To be fair, I think a young trainee girl initially began dealing with my booking, which seemed to phase her and took ages for her to find my details and realise I had already booked the rooms with the hotel via the internet. Eventually a more experienced lady took over the procedure and sorted it out quite quickly. On the 2nd day before we went for breakfast, the fire alarm went off. We eventually made our way to the front reception carpark. No one from the staff made any contact with us or informed us what was happening or even checked everyone was out of their rooms. When the fire alarm stopped, no members of staff spoke to us to say it was ok to go back inside. Everyone just did their own thing. It seemed a little disorganised for what could have been a very serious incident. It would have been nice to see somone from the hotel taking charge instead of leaving the guests to themselves.

The size and lay out of our suite was excellent....some of the decor is showing its age but that did not detract from our overall satisfactation. The accommodation was excellent value for money. Although the breakfast was good, with waitress service, I think that a hot buffet bar is often better as long as it is replenished frequently.
