The room was very spacious and airy. Excellent bathrooms. Nice to have a separate lounge.
The exclusion of breakfast. As a group of 6 men on a trip it would have been nice to have breakfast included or offered to us at a discounted rate. Nowhere local to get breakfast from. Feel breakfast should have been included in the price if not to pay a little more.
staff friendly and helpful. rooms good size breakfast aways great. wifi reliable.
restaurant expensive but good quality. rooms looking a bit tired nowdays. steps outside main doors slippery when wet!!
On arrival our room wasn't ready, but we had arrived early. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. We ordered a pot of tea and we're treated to a mince pie too. The staff were really helpful and professional without losing their charm and personality. The room was enormous with a lounge area, a twin bedroom with plenty of storage and seperate bathroom with a shower cubicle and seperate bath and the loo was private behind a lockable door in the bathroom. We also had the luxury of an outside space overlooking the grounds. They ordered us a taxi for the evening and welcomed us home later that evening. We ordered room service which was delivered promptly and politely. When I discovered that I'd left an item in the room the day after, a quick phone call confirmed that it was being stored for me in till I could return to pick it up. Overall a lovely place for a stay. Just wish we'd had the time to use all of the leisure facilities that they had.
We liked everything about the hotel and the staff and breakfast was good.
Thought price of restaurant food was very expensive.
Friendly staff Nice breakfast
Changing rooms for pool Steam room not working
The hotel was completely unlike that portrayed on the website. They said they were a " Mercure" hotel when every sign saying " Mearcure" was blocked out! No- one mentioned there is a farm behind the hotel where a cocker- ill wakes you up at 4 am crowing! It was a disaster! No- one , and I stayed 5 nights, asked me if I was happy with my stay there. It was a place from hell! Don't go there!
Friendly and helpful staff. Nothing too much for any of them. Thanks to Jean, Steph, Hayley, and (we think) Jeans son. Fab ppl :)
Staff were terrific, great location and very good value for the suite.
Poor WiFi reception in our suite. Poor restaurant meals
Not a lot. Room was big and bed comfortable and nice bathroom but decor could do with brightening up.
Musty smell as soon as you entered the reception and when we went across to our room which was by the Leisure club it smelt like a nursing home a smell I recognise as my step mother lived in one maybe they use the same cleaning agent so advice they change it.
location and size of the rooms
the 'time warp' feel to the whole hotel. tired and rundown. No lift Dirty and stained chairs with torn arms. Stains on cushions in rooms No heating in restaurant Terribly poor service. Booked for 8pm didn't get seated to 8.45 and didn't get served til 9.30!!! Had to ask for drinks. Not very good experience at all
plenty of room in the suite ,seperate wc large shower
