Not much to like
Poor wi fi small bedroom Expensive for facilities provided.
Clean rooms, great location, easy check-in
Very friendly receptionist warm welcome and very helpful. Nice location near seafront.
The cooked breakfast was not the best bacon was microwaved and the sausages were very poor quality maybe less quantity more quality. Bedroom was old fashioned and needed facelift ok for one night wouldn't want to stay longer.view of the fire escape and bins not very inspiring.
* Staff very friendly & courteous * Location, style & features of house * Bright, airy & clean breakfast room * Good size tv lounge * Nice towels
*Room too small and needs redecorating * Carpet badly stained & grubby * Bedding not good quality especially pillows * No hairdryer
Room very spacious, Jacuzzi bath tub, tea&coffee facilities and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was brilliant, plenty to choose from.
Bed creaked a lot, didn't sleep overly well. Heating constantly on so was very warm also. TV very small. No view from the room and could hear people talking and children running around on the floor above us No hairdryer.
Would definately recommend this Guest House. We stayed for one night in early August 14 as we were attending a wedding in the town. The staff were great, please is clean and comfortable and its in a great location!
Nothing not to like!
good location nice staff great breakfast!
The look of the hotel inside - need a good lick of paint and nice wooden floors etc.
We loved the location the view, the spacious rooms, the cleanliness, the breakfast. The owners were wonderful with anything we asked . The value was helpful
the number of stairs to climb to the room
Location, stunning views out to sea, great breakfast, plenty of free parking
Children thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi !! Beautiful view from our room.
We used the guesthouse to stay in the north coast to celebrate a friends 21st birthday. Our room was perfect for a relaxing weekend complete with spa bath and tv. Breakfast had to much choice it was hard to decide, everything was delicious. We will definitely be returning here!
Place was very clean and cant really fault in any manner. Only 1..
We all.... I feel expect standards to be good... Only 1 thing was ....bed a little uncomfortable. Other than that.. really great.
The room was a very good size with plenty of storage, TV and tea/Coffee making facilities. Although bathroom wasn't very big it had a jacuzzi bath in it.
Unfortunately we didn't have a view from our room which would've been made the stay better.
Lovely reception staff. Good breakfast
Quite basic, however fine for one night
Huge family room with sea view. Homely Good breakfast, fast service.
Accomodation was cosy and had everything we need!
Could hear guests below us late at night.
breakfast, staff, location,
costly for what it is, ie 2 star B&B
On arrival we were met by the receptionist who was very polite and showed to our rooms. A quick explanation of the house rules and how the jacuzzi bath worked etc. breakfast served between 8.00 & 9.00 am with an ample selection available. Very close to town centre with nice views from the lounge area
Staff were very helpful, pleasant & friendly. Breakfast was plentiful & the views from the front of the hotel are absolutely stunning
Room was cozy, breakfast very nice and lady at the reception was very kind.
There was no wifi in the room.

The location was ideal, overlooking the sea and was close to, (2 minutes walk), but not in the centre of Portrush. The exterior of the house on first sight was pleasing to me and the interior did not disappoint either. The staff were very friendly, helpful and added to a very pleasant stay. I had booked a single room and on entering, discovered it was actually a double bed, another pleasant surprise for me. The room was clean and comfortable and the ensuite was ideal for me. The breakfast was excellent and you could eat and drink as much as you could, including a fry-up, toast, cereal, juice, tea/coffee and anything else that you so requested. Overall, my 2 night stay was relaxing and very enjoyable, so thank you to all at the Clarmont. I would recommend this place most definitely.
The walls between rooms are rather thin and my first night I was kept awake by constant talking and door slamming in the next room, however I did not let this interfere with my holiday.
Very clean, staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were excellent. Have stayed there a few times and would definitely go back again.
The gal at front desk was very helpful and friendly. The location was lovely, right in town and a walk away from pretty much everything. I was able to take my breakfast plate to my room. Food was fresh, hot, and delish!
Although the room was clean, the place was beat to heck. Bits of the wall were missing, and the furniture (including a crooked mirror surrounded by dents in the wall) was cheap, cheap, cheap. The springs in the mattress squeaked, and there was no phone, no drinking glasses (not even cheap plastic ones), and no shower gel/shampoo provided. I left the breakfast room the moment I received my plate of food to get away from the family whose son was screaming "dad" "dad" "dad" at the top of his lungs while his ignorant parents sat talking and ignoring him. Really people? One of the staff should have asked the parents to either quiet the kid or leave because this family literally cleared the breakfast room...which was a shame because it looked right out onto the lovely beach and rolling waves. If the owners spend some money to update the place, it would make a big difference. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more pounds and stay at the Causeway Hotel in Bushmills if you have the option...
