Slow service, poor breakfast
The pool and small spa facility
Room very small Only had one robe even though the booking was for a couple. Only two tea bags even though it was a two night stay. Cups in room were plastic but we had to rinse them out as they were not replaced. The cushions in the dining room were very dirty. Breakfast was limited nothing for a vegetarian who wanted a hot breakfast and finally only one toaster to service the whole restaurant of breakfast dinning.
Food staff surroundings
Price of alcohol,bed uncomfortable,
There were hairs in the bath in our room when we arrived.
The pool, leisure facilities although a better relaxing area near the pool would have been better. Nice bar area.
Problems with check in. Only one member of staff at front desk at a busy Saturday afternoon check in time.
Staff were polite and welcoming.helpful with information and eager to please.
At times I felt the waiting staff were unduly pressurised
not a lot
the service was very slow in restaurant and the portions were small and only warm. Swimming pool had to few seats noise from disc kept us awake till after midnight Desk staff not interested when we complained No reply to our email complaint
Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Convenient pool
Road noise. Dark decor. 'Tired' decor and presentation
Problem with rooms was handled with no quibble for our second night. Breakfast was poor. We arrived at least half an hour before closing but choices were restricted. Many things on the self-service had run out and not been replenished. Staff were too busy clearing tables rather than assisting guests who were still there.
We booked a "Superior" Room. It's all relative but these were NOT superior in any way! We arrived too late on the first night but complained the following day and in fairness were up-graded with no quibble.
quality hotel with free box of chocs in room and dressing gowns great food at dinner and complimentary drink
bar staff a bit slow and distracted took 20mins for a pims! no choice of eggs fried only or veggie sausages at breakfast. staff vague due to language barrier about where to sit or what to do at breakfast.
Clean, neat, tidy and very quiet room which meant we had a great nights sleep on a comfy bed. Restaurant meal was great with staff very friendly and attentive.
funny cleaning smell in the corridor - but not a problem
Size of studio and excellent bathroom and desperate shower.
Studio couch was put into a bed, as not required, cut open thumb trying to put it away but had a faulty mechanism. Slow service at the bar, breakfast was served almost cold in the room and in the dining room.
plenty of space in room
Would have like a tray for tea facility and somewhere to put a soggy teabag other than a flimsy bag in the waste bin A shower cap would also been nice should you have left one at home
Great breakfast, great room with all the facilities you need. Friendly and helpful staff!
Easy parking Quiet rooms two lifts Public rooms all on ground floor Good breakfast selection
Room cleaning staff too quick on final day - need to wait until customer checked out expensive evening food
Only three pillows in the room
Staff were polite, ample parking, swimming pool available as is wifi. Bed clean and comfy. Breakfast, a good choice.
We did like the service
It wasn't always clean and the wifi was really weak
The facilities and the location.
The room was in need of a lick of paint (there were marks on the ceiling and walls) and a new net in the window (it had holes in and marks on it). Although it says it's a non-smoking hotel, our room smelt like cigarettes. The bathroom didn't feel or smell clean.
Value for money Nice public areas
The pillows old, lumpy made for a poor nights sleep.
Reception & bar area
The hotel room I was in (( 110 ))needs uplifting the bathroom is battered & tired . For £128 per night for a room & to have to pay £7.50 for a breakfast on top is I feel an insult .
room was quite and was very clean, bed was not noise for intermit moments
The amount of roundabouts in Basingstoke lol , steamroom need a good clean particularly under the seats
Room was compact, nicely furnished and clean. Facilities OK It was good value at the reduced price, but I would have been disappointed if paying full price.Staff were smart, polite, and extremely helpful. They couldn't have been better.
Bathroom not completely clean on arrival.Only one bathrobe was provided for a couple & the swimming pool was visible from corridor between reception area and rooms. Tea or coffee but no alternatives(fruit tea/hot chocolate)
The iron in the room wasn't functioning.
