Nice clean room, nice staff, good breakfast, good location.
weather was poor that week.
easy to find, quiet part of town, perfectly pleasant staff.
half hearted water supply in shower in rather small en-suite bathroom
Booked for a 3 night birthday break, room 11 is really excellent, lovely comfy bed, sea views, the room has just been refurbished to a high standard, lovely bathroom with big shower, all staff really genuine and friendly
Location, comfort, staff and the breakfasts.
Wi-fi "limited" (wouldn't connect) Having to go through kitchen/office to very small car park. Milk and decaff in room not replaced second night. Consigned to bar full of cardboard boxes when very large party occupied the usual bar.
All the above
Nothing to dislike
Bed Cleanliness Staff Location
on the small size
really convenient location traditional feel, very welcoming staff
floorboards very squeaky, it sounded like people were walking past the end of your bed early morning when walking down the corridor. couldn't use the bar on a Tuesday as weight watchers were in and told they offended if men went in there whilst been weighed.
I liked the warm welcome from the staff and how they was very helpful ,kind and happy to make our stay as comfortable as they could , brilliant family run hotel
I don't have any dislikes about this place
The breakfast was great. we had a very late night check in, very obliging.
Good location. Friendly staff.
small dated room and poorly equipped. Little tiny soap,no shampoo, shower much too small.
everything generally was good such as staff food comfort etc
only comment is bathroom was small and shower taps difficult. l managed but a larger person or someone with weak hands may struggle in terms of bathroom size and shower taps respectively.
Deluxe Double room was superb
Lack of parking
Good value for money at great location with see view from the window. Thanks
A bit noisy fan in bathroom
room was brand new ( 1st guests to use it ) breakfast was spot on , staff were so helpful and friendly .
took a while to be served at breakfast , no lift could be a problem for anyone on top floor , but we were moved to first floor when we asked for a lower room
The price. Availability for a late booking.
Appearance a bit run down. Tasteless breakfast.
Value for money , staff very good breakfast was great value , Car parking at hotel was free, Bathroom was a lovely size with walk in shower, which for us was exalant Would stay there again
We had to ask for extra towels and pillows as we only had one each Toilet paper was very cheap stuff
everything was spot on
Very good would recomend very friendy
Everything, excellent helpful and friendly staff, clean throughout. We had a lovely view from our room. Good food freshly cooked and pleasantly served. We felt relaxed and at home. Should be at least a four star. We would recommend the Claxton to anyone and know there would be no come back, we have told our friends how much we enjoyed our stay, and given the chance stay again God willing.
Leaving to go home.
Fabulous hotel - gorgeous room, delicious food and brilliant staff. I look forward to coming back again soon!
Decent breakfast Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful Great sea view Convenient car parking Great Thai restaurant close by
Tiny old bathroom, with no bath Ancient shower was a trickle Windows were filthy inside One flat pillow per person One small towel per person No soap or toiletries
The bed was comfortable, the view from our window was fab. staff friendly location spot on close to bus stops and town.on site parking, only very small niggles but overall a great place to stay at a great price.
Ensuite a little small. The sausages were not so good. A hand towel and drinking glasses in room would have enhanced the experience
Room 14 desperately needs updating. Bathroom tiny Noisy party right underneath bedroom window. No breakfast after 9am even on weekends.
