Great location, nice and quiet but close enough to walk into Lymington for a meal and with a pub within spitting distance. Lovely cosy feel to the place, great hospitality and a very nice breakfast. Right on the edge of the forest for a morning stroll, and only 15 mins drive from the coast. I would reccomend.
We were worried that the proximity to the road outside would be an issue but we didn't hear it at all..
Breakfast was good as was the variety and quality of the tea tray. Lovely selection of birds feeding in garden.
Road noise is very loud despite double glazing, makes it very difficult to sleep. Bathroom tiny and dated, weak shower, needs replacing.
Loved it all.
Parking is very "tight" .
Clay hill was easy to find, even in the dark. We received warm welcome on arrival, lovely room with every possible home comfort supplied. Lovely breakfast, local produce and home made preserves.
Nothing to dislike.
Right on very busy main road. Very difficult stairs if you have a mobility problem No outside space to sit in summer
Clayhill House was a very comfortable and friendly place to stay. We were looked after extremely well. Information was very comprehensive on the surrounding area. I would certainly stay again.
Fabulous property; huge room; amazing bed! Decent breakfast; couple who were b&b-sitting were very friendly and quite funny! Added to the experience. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.
Slightly off the main trek through the New Forest but probably the better for it
the room was fantastic, very spacious, own sitting area, the staff were very helpful and very friendly, they could do any more for us, we WILL be stopping there again, breakfast was very nice, local produce and hot, we had our own key for the front door, all in all a fab-u-las place
Lovely little B&B in a great location. Very welcoming and excellent breakfast!
A warm welcome that made you feel at home. They serve an excellent breakfast.
The car park would be very tight if full.
There was a lounge area, which was cosy, breakfast was excellent, alot of choice, friendly people.
Noise from traffic, right on main road.
A really lovely, comfortable stay. Helpful staff. We were made to feel very welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others or return ourselves.
Front bedroom in the house was a little noisy (from road traffic) first thing in the morning. Aside from that, the room and B&B was perfect.
nice friendly host
access was a bit of a problem by road
Warmly greated with freshly brewed coffee. Very comfortable and cosy room with everything we needed including some chocolate and biscuits. A very hearty well cooked breakfast in the morning. Great location with lots to see.
As I arrived I was given fresh coffee. I was in room one, which is huge and had a view over the bird feeders and the chickens, where the eggs for breakfast come from. Everything I want from a B&B
Very good bed rooms and sitting room & the breakfast was excellent.
Great location, really comfy bed and great to have armchairs in the room. The breakfast was lovely too. Overall a lovely break. P.s the marmalade was scrummy x
Very warm welcome with tea and biscuits. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. A very good base to visit the attractions of the New Forest area.
The main road to Lymington runs past the front of the guest house so getting in and out of the small car park can be a tricky problem at busy times!
The owner was very nice and attentive, the room & shower were very clean. Everything was as described and ths food was 1st class. Other staying at the time agreed
Only thing was the poor mobile phone reception which is no fault of the B&B, as it was ok in the local village I assumed that it was down to the trees blocking the signal
Friendly hosts, loved the birds at the feeders and the colourful chickens in the back. Walk into town. Comfortable room.
Bit of a squeeze with parking.
Location, friendly, clean, helpful and well maintained.
Noise from the road.
The breakfast was excellent The owner and his son friendly...very "laid back". The location for exploring the New Forest was very good.
The shower room facilities were a little too "bijou and for very slim persons only. The basin too small and the hot water for the basin comae from a strange little electric heater over the basin which did work but too up more room.#Duvets not comfortable, not natural fibres. No where to sit outside. It was very hot."
Easy to find Very large comfortable room Lots of good extra touches
Busy main road Small shower
Lovely room, very clean, wonderful breakfast
