We have just returned from three days at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel. We found the hotel much better than we expected as it was classed as 3*. We have stayed in many 4* hotels that did not match the Cleddau Bridge Hotel. The hotel was bright and the staff very friendly. There were comfortable seating areas in the reception and bar, The bar and restaurant had wonderful views across the river. Our room was large and airy, well laid out with plenty of storage and with a very large and comfortable double bed. The food in the restaurant was very good and after eating in their the first night we returned every night - we usually eat out of the hotels we stay at!!! A request for a special starter for my husband was fore-filled for my husband cooked as he requested on the next two evenings - Thank you Ben. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future.
Would prefer a breakfast cooked on request as on the last morning my husband and I ate at different times due to the hot food running out just as he got his. I, and the people behind me, was then told we would 'just have to wait' by the waitress which could have been phrased more politely and an apology and explanation would have been better. I must add that my husband and I had already waited for the first lot of food to be cooked.
Too hot for comfort
Everything, location, food, bar, cleanliness, ambience and facilities where excellent. We also found a great pub down the hill by the water, absolutely brilliant stay, recommend the area and hotel to anyone.
Nothing not to like
Breakfast lovely even for the Veggie in our part Lovely large beds
The Bath was to small for either of us to atempt to have one
Location is excellent, friendliness and facilities
as a large family group we occupied 7 rooms and some of the rooms lacked cleanliness and quality of mattresses must be addressed. However staff were very helpful and sorted my concerns out for me. If this hotel caters for pets I strongly stress this option must be removed for the sake of cleanliness.
Great staff, hotel was a good allrounder _ handy for touring etc.nearby the new Sunderland boat museum! Will stay again.
We were made very welcome. The bedroom had a great view Breakfast started the day well
We thought the bar lacked character....but didn't drink there!!!
Friendly professional staff, a surprising haven of a central courtyard. Enjoyed our stay and will be using it again!
Staff and cleanliness and on the whole the evening meals in the restaurant were very good.
Room sizes were a little tight. Lounge bar lacking in décor and unimaginative in layout. Bar well stocked and as usual the staff were very attentive.
Everything except bed in room 27. Room 41 far better on previous visit.
Bed in room 27.Can t believe it s Bridal suite. Please don t give us that room on August 21st!
The hotel was very comfortable and a superb dining experience
Location, staff friendliness and efficiency, room, breakfast, view from dining room.
Basin taps back to front with hot water piped to right hand tap.

Arrived after a long journey to a lovely warm welcome by Emma. Quick check inn and everything was uphill from there.
Wifi in rooms non existent, had to of work in the bar of reception area
Views from restaurant
Nice clean well run hotel with all the facilities available that are advertised.
Room was extremely hot
Excellent location for touring. Quiet area.
location and views across to the bridge. Clean hotel well kept, staff friendly.
Room was like a sauna when we arrived, boiler issues in the plant room next to our room.Engineer onsite working on the unit, no hot water that night, following morning same issue no hot water, cold shower. Reception offered to let us use another room that morning, too late, as we had to leave to get to North wales.
The staff were brilliant. The sea view was fantastic. The food was 1st class. (one of the best steaks I have eaten)
We were only there for two nights
Arrived from the ferry at 01.00hrs and departed at 09.30 hrs next morning in the rain! Not much time to assess likes and dislikes. The breakfast was good and the staff I met pleasant
Directions to hotel!! At 01.00hrs some decent signage to the hotel is required.
