Cleehouse Hotel & Bistro  

We only had a two day stay at Clee House, but it was good value for money, the room we had was spacious. We ate in the Bistro on the first night and the food was very good, the same with breakfasts. The hosts was very nice, room very clean, would give this establishment 100%

As a business traveller working for a national charity, I need a comfortable room, peace and quiet, and somewhere to work - all at a decent price. Cleehouse offers this and more. It's the kind of place where someone has thought through the details, so my room had free wifi, plenty of teas, coffees etc., and the owner kindly upgraded me to a 'superior' room, which meant I had loads of space and a settee. It was also very quiet. I'll definitely stay there again.

I had the pleasure of the room with the 4 poster bed and en suete. The bed was super comfortable to the point I went back for a couple of hours after breakfast. The staff were very frienldly and welcoming and the hotel is packed with interesting items from all over the world. The cleanliness was good with bath mats, towels, shampoo and shower gel also provided. The complimentary sweets and national geographic magazines in the room were a nice touch and there are plenty of leaflets on things to do in the area. Only minutes from the sea front and with a warm, friendly atmosphere I can't reccomend Cleehouse enough.

The size of the room was big,the hotel staff helpful and friendly and the hotel was close to everything in town.

The hotel could do with redecorating and the shower was rubbish. Scalding hot one minute then freezing cold the next.

Breakfast was included in the price and the price was as advertised - unlike some chain hotels where rates advertised on hoardings and in newspapers etc are far below what is actually charged. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

Being phoned whilst in a meeting at work to explain the card machine doesn't work at the hotel - having already had to give my full card details online. This isn't a complaint but the length of the call made me look silly at work and also it made me a tiny bit nervous that my details could be used or whatever although I'm sure that won't happen. Also - this is only a niggle but the adverts clearly state there is internet access and there isn't, which was a bit frustrating as I had reports to finish and email off. It didn't actually stop me so as I say only a niggle. Staff were friendly to a fault.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the owners and checked in with ease, throughout our stay all the staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble, thank you to everyone

A very pleasant smallish hotel set close to the town's main amenities and only a few minutes' walk from the seafront. Very good food available (dinner as well as breakfast).

Staff informative but stayed in the background. Very large family room. Nice touch with tea/coffee biscuits/hairdryer.

Shower in bathroom very tempermental. One minute boiling hot then next minute freezing cold.
