Myself and my wife stayed with our 2 boys aged 9 and 14. The room was great. Staff courteous and helpful. Location was spot on. Immaculate room and the facilities within the room where ideal for what we needed, Don't pay the £10 add on for Breakfast as there are plenty of shops nearby so you can get your own supplies in.

The Cleveland is located in a section of London called Bayswater. There are a large number of hotels located in this section, all situated in Georgian or Victorian style 'townhouses.' We chose the Cleveland because it accommodated a larger party (i.e. 3 of us) and our room was described as an executive studio suite. It was roomy and had a kitchenette that was quite convenient. Shopping and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity and it is located 5 minutes from the Underground and two minutes from the bus route. I would only say there was probably a discrepancy between the room photos and reality. I think they have since changed their website and I am not sure those photos are still available. The photos portrayed the room as a bit more elegant. I would describe it as functional BUT still a great value for the money.

Fantastic stay at the Cleveland for 2 nights. Loved the rooms, the cleanliness, the space and the safe in the wardrobe was free! The kitchen hidden behind the doors was brilliant and a large waste bin was useful also instead of the usual small ones. Only 1 issue was the slamming of doors by either staff or other residents. Maybe signs saying to close doors quietly or have some consideration would be nice. As we found ourselves being woken at half 6 in the morning by people letting doors close by themselves and they made our whole room shake. Remember Scottish travellers to take English notes with them as a lot of shops/restaurants/hotels have issues accepting them even though we accept English ones in Scotland!

The Cleveland Hotel exceeded my expectations beyond measure. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a kitchenette to boot. Finding a queen sized bed for one person for 129 pounds (this includes free wifi - not easy to find if you've ever stayed in London!!) is a steal. The walk to Bayswater station isn't more than 10 minutes. I lugged a luggage bag, two carry-on's and a poster tube in the rain - it is not that far trust me!! If you want to travel around London you will be taking the tube regardless - so don't be swayed by being located in Bayswater!! The area is beautiful and you will feel safe. Couldn't give a better recommendation!!

Dissapointed in the number of steps to our room with no lift facilities. Travelling with an older person and also a child this was a huge problem for us.

The welcome from the reception staff and manager upon arrival was refreshing and cheerful. The room facilities were beyond our expectations and our extra bed was already set up on arrival. The room was quiet and was easy to access with lots of luggage. Loved the free wifi access. Wished we had been able to stay longer. We will certainly come back and stay again.

Quiet location close to transport, restaurants and shops. Friendly helpful staff who took pride in their hotel. Hotel is in a lovely Regency square with no through traffic. There are 88 stairs to the top floor and the lift only goes up half of them so if you don't want to walk up lots of stairs ask for a room on level three or below.

Location is excellent, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Although I requested not to have basement room, when I arrived, there seemed no arrangement was made and only baseroom room left. They did change me to the first floor on the second day and the staff on duty was extremely help.

Well presented and recently renovated; kitchenette useful with grocery stores nearby; bright room with some charactyer. Room quite small but typical for London and still very workable for two people. Slight 'machine noise' hum during the night - not loud but could be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

I did not like the reception as we checked-in. I was a bit confused with the room I booked but I didn't have a problem with what I got.The guy had quite an attitude and told me to double check what was on the internet. Reception is very crucial in such a business. However the lady that was present when we checked out was very friendly and helpfull.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The free coffee in the lobby was an added plus. The lack of a lift made getting to the room on the 4th floor a bit of a trouble for the seniors in our group.

Location was excellent. Kitchenette was really handy for having a quick and cheap breakfast before a busy day of sight seeing. Hotel staff were helpful. The shower had no hot water on the final morning, which was a nuisance after a busy day walking around London the previous day!! However, the hotel did refund 50% of the price for that night's accomodation, which softened the disappointment slightly.

The room was very clean and very cleverly designed so that you have all the essentials at your disposal. The hotel was excellently situated at walking distance from Hyde Park and good value for money when compared with others in central London. It would be nice to have a discount when booking for several nights.

Great bed, very sturdy... Fantastic positioned mirror! Thanks.. x The £3 glass of water and the fact that you could not buy any drinks. The shower head was so powerful that the stream of water was painful and it would not stay in the holder.. We had to unplug the kettle and take to the other side of the room for a plug socket..

Just about everything. My room was on the 4th floor and the elevator only goes to the3rd floor. The stairs in between were a bit steep - no problem except when one had to lug one's luggage up or down. The hotel description mentioned that breakfast was available but there was no breakfast to be had other than if one prepared something in the galley kitchen in the room. Not really practical for a short stay.
