the gardens which were lovely ,the room was very large compared to some we have been in, with a lovely balcony overlooking gardens , The rooms were clean and newly painted.A nice large carpark.
Did not always have what we wanted on the menu but the food was good and well priced. .
The grounds were lovely, location was great for walking into town and sea front. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially with the other guests.
The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, especially all the mould in the shower/bath area could have been removed. Beds were not particularly comfortable. Noise from the downstairs lounge was distracting.
The food The grounds The rooms
Queues at reception
Excellent location and friendly helpful staff
Loud banging noises as if furniture being moved or bins being emptied around midnight
Gardens were lovely although needed a bit of TLC
Thought the whole place needed a spruce up. Crockery was dirty too putting us off our food.
I loved the location, the building, the pool, parking facilities, the friendliness of the staff, but particularly the garden. The breakfasts were very good, both form the point of view of choice and quality . . . I would have absolutely no problem recommending the Cliffden Hotel.
Very outdated rooms. Wifi not avail in rooms
Tatty appearances of hotel interior.
Hotel is set in superb grounds and only a short walk to the middle of town.
Too many dogs.
Needs updating very soon
Location location Grounds to sit in Bedroom excellent
The house keeping in the en suite very poor Taste less sausages Hotel in need a bit of modernisation and painting

Pool was great.
breakfast terrible. Bed on verge of collapse Noisy
location is excellent.Staff friendly & helpful.
housekeeping was below standard
I love the faded old world grandeur and the grounds are magnificent. Staff are friendly and it is all very homelike and comfortable. It feels like nothing has changed since I first went to Teignmouth in the 50s.
Some of the rooms could do with a spruce up and duvets really are de rigeur these days! The food is only average - much better to be found in Teignmouth and Shaldon.
Swimming pool. Garden. The fact that it caters for blind people.
Breakfast cold and over cooked. Teignmouth..not much to do there in bad weather
great views and grounds.very good location
little bit slow on check in at 2.00 pm
Having to wait for service due to Staff rushed off their feet

Booked room with a garden view and received room with a brick wall view !
