All rooms and public areas were refurbished in January 2009. They have a tasteful design and modern touches, including flat-screen digital TV and carefully chosen furnishings.
Premier rooms have balconies where you can enjoy the unrivalled view. Some rooms even have a telescope to bring you closer to the sweeping bay below.

From the A171:
- Follow this road until you see the signs for Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Hinderwell.
Alternatively, you can follow the scenic route:
- Take the A174 coast road from Teeside, then follow the signs for Runswick.
- We are approximately 7 miles from Whitby.
- Alternatively, you can follow the A169 to Whitby, coming off when you see the signs for Runswick Bay.
Important information
Please note dogs no larger than spaniel size are accepted at Cliffemount Hotel. Please advise well in advance if you will be bringing a pet.
