Views from terrace and the contempary, clean lines of the bedroom.
Cheap, poor quality mattress covers made the bottom sheet come off.
View was fantastic. Bed was lovely and big. Outside seating area was a bonus.
Room very hot. Had the window open and from 8 clock in the morning people congregating under the window near entrance very noisy. No bath robes. 1 packet of biscuits between two of us. Bottle of water three quarters drunk not replaced. No do not disturb signs in room..harassed by housecleaning from 10 o'clock,(maybe not able to clean room in afternoon...this was told to us by housekeeping)
Bar Area / Decking / Glass balustrade overlooking beach.
Staircases areas need upgrading. Thought £2.95 for Cappaccino was expensive for the area we were in.
1.Sea view room required to be repainted the walls had plenty of scuff marks. 2. Windows need to replaced with double glassing for the noise factor and the years of black mould around the glass / window frames/walls 3. Very dim lighting in the bathroom 4. Mould issue in the bathroom around taps and shower
Couldent park the car in car park
We were upgraded to the bath suite free of charge , our 25th wedding anniversary will never be forgotten because it was made so special by the Cliff Hotel 10/10
Nothing it was perfect in every way
We were returning to the hotel for the first time since it's refurbishment and thought that had been carried out successfully.
The heavy doors out on to the terrace area are an accident waiting to happen.
The setting was beautiful, view if the sea, very pleasant. The bars were very attractive.
Clean modern hotel.Fantastic rooms. Bar area and terrace were lovely. Food in bar fab. Staff friendly
nothing to complain about.
Overall good, restaurant excellent as was the breakfast and ample car parking.
Only complaint the breakfast is served in the bar area and the table was sticky and complete with last nights finger prints and hairs stuck to the table.
Staff at breakfast were not very good. We have stayed twice before and couldn't fault the service, this time they served breakfast in the bar area, we were told to help ourselves to cereals, when we finished, after 10 minutes I had to ask if someone would like to serve us, we hadn't even been given tea, they kept saying sorry, I said you should be more observant as you had served the table next to us, there were plenty of staff walking about, there was no excuse. I complained at reception when paying my bill, they said sorry. I am now disappointed with the hotel,
Friendly staff, excellent food and lovely room, would definately recommend.
The views over the port entrance and beach are great. The parking and Wif-Fi were very good. Size and comfort of the room were excellent.
Sunday afternoon/evening are obviously a very busy time and along with the live entertainment (finished at 7pm) meant it wasn't very relaxing for a residents to have a meal in peace. This could be a positive if you like a lively atmosphere that goes on till late.
First room lovely They tried to get us to pay a different rate until we mentioned we had booked it through this site which was cheaper. Food was wonderfull
Second room was horrid and smelled Service was slow, and one waitress kept getting very close and personal with my husband in front of my children Would not stay again
the room was very spacious and very well decorated. The bath in the centre of the room was wonderful .
This room was designed by a robot. In the bathroom there were no places to leave your toiletries; no where in the shower to leave soap or shampoo and the shower tray was a serious slipping hazard. ( a rubber mat however was provided ) Also the H & C water tap over the sink was so high that it splash all over the place .
bedroom located above outside bar area very noisy at night had to close window although very warm in room restaurant and room service prices extremely expensive no lift to room no offer to carry bags receptionist mechanical on booking in and very cold when leaving tables not cleared and set for breakfast
free wi fi, free carpark, and lovely sea view
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very relaxing, room modern, staff helpful, food amazing!! Gorleston Seafront is lovely! Definitley recommend the hotel if wanting to stay in the area! 10mins from Yarmouth!
Had to change my order 3 times in the Mitchell's restaurant due to them running out of certain dishes! Food was amazing though!!
Food and cocktails were very good with plenty of choice.
On arrival there was no car parking available. Wanted a nice quite drink but was surrounded by volume of noise coming from the main bar. The other bar was shut. Could not get a seat on decking area due to i believe would have been non residents. Monday morning was awaken by the sound of jet washing of furniture before 7 o`clock !! i could go on but 200 character minimum is not enough will never go there again it was awfull experience.
Nice room, very comfortable. Food was good and portions were also good.
View from room was not good at all. Service at breakfast was slow. Bar and terrace were very noisy until quite late.
Good location , lovely room, very clean
The bar was nice but far to loud !!!
Our room had a terrible view
It is well worth the extra for a sea view room - fantastic. The bar area and outside seating area are lovely; again, great views, and really good food. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere.
If I am really picky, the non-cooked (ie continental style) breakfast was weak, especially in comparison with the cooked. A wider choice of breads, rolls and pastries would help.
