friendly helpful staff. nice to have some sunday afternoon entertainment in the bar. the two female singers were amazing. a lovely outdoor terrace with spectacular sea views. excellent breakfast.

Rooms had been beautifully refurbished. Whole hotel had been very nicely refurbished.

A wedding aws in progress on our day of arrival and took over all the areas of the hotel leaving other hotel residents with no quiet areas.The restaurant was closed to normal residents. On the following day there was a murder mystery evening and the restaurant was closed until 8.30 pm presumably because they couldn't cope with the murder mystery diners and all other residents.Quite frankly that is far too late for dinner to commence.The hotel probably believe that the fact you can eat in the bar overcomes this ,but the bar is so busy and noisy with the local in crowd of drinkers that eating there would be a battle. We felt we were second class citizens sacrificed to the presumably better paying functions. There was no chair in the bedroom.We realise space was tight but somewhere to sit in one's bedroom is important.

Fantastic terrace overlooking the beach. We dined in the restaurant both nights, decent choice and food. Staff efficient and friendly. Would recommend. All in all, a lovely weekend.

The room was value for money, the restaurant and bar were very good, the staff were pleasant and accomodating, had a decent view from

maybe the stains on the ceiling in our room, the wardrobe for a couple was a bit small, would of been a push if staying for more than one night, as we were a couple and a single, I think they may have given us the wrong rooms as the single had a double wardrobe, would have been nice to have been a bit nearer as he was over the other side of the hotel.

Location was great ! Outside bar is lovely and overlooks beautiful beach. Staff were very good and helpful.

Downstairs lobby area is very dated. Our room was great but sink was blocked and not repaired.

In the evening when we returned to have a drink outside there was an argument that started, it ended up with 2 men fightening it wasn't very nice and upset my mother a great deal, the doormen didn't stop the fight and the men came towards us, felt very scared and this runied the stay for the four of us. i cant believe the doorman didn't stop the fight.

Excellent hotel for the price paid, very high standard for a 3*. Great service from staff/hotel. Facilities very good, rooms nice and very clean. Also good breakfast.

The service was excellent, nice clean rooms. Lovely location and the food was of high quality. Would definitely go there again.

every member of staff was friendly & helpful, Food was excellent, room clean & modern, a nice upmarket place to stay. Gorleston has one of the best beaches in UK, 10 mins from GT Yarmouth. Would never stay in Yarmouth again after staying here!

I am being picky now, but car parking awkward at busy times. If full, you can park nearby, & move car back later.

The cliff hotel out performed our expectations. We had family staying at haven wild duck camp site and at last minute decided not to camp (due to possibility of rain). So glad we did book the cliff, the location is great with steps down to the long sandy beautiful beach at gorleston the room was recently refurbished with great shower and food was also much better than expected. The cliff's sea view terrace is tastefully done with retracting roof to make most of weather. Gorleston itself is sleepy but welcome after a day in nearby gt yarmouth! This hotel punches above it's price point, I'm guessing because gorleston isn't a typical 'destination', but with so much to do around the area and with such a nice beach on doorstep I'll be going back.

The hotel seems to be towards end of renovation works and as a result a few areas remain in need of a refresh.

We went for may bank holiday weekend, 2 couples. Very clean, comfortable hotel. All staff more than pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Compliments to the chef & his staff, excellent food and presentation. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend hotel, would certainly enjoy another break there. Keep up the good work. In my opinion whatever you and your staff are doing is spot on.

Newly renovated room design. Position, easy parking, friendly staff. Sensible large racks in shower for more than one bottle

Windows in room not in keeping with renovation.ie old and drafty Operation marks on shower controls difficult to see when you are not wearing your glasses! No remote for tv despite requesting one twice.

The room had obviously been recently decorated and a new bathroom installed to a good standard. The breakfast was very good.

The room 107 was very warm and our outlook was very poor.

It was outstanding. Polite friendly staff, outstanding restaurent and lovely breakfast. Beautiful scenary and great standard bedrooms with comfy bed. Really was a treat.

Katy on reception was exceptionally hepful. The terrace with awning was lovely

The hotel was always clean and tidy, the staff were very helpful and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Quiet location with lovely beach and promenade.

It suited us so hard to find fault. Think it is still being refurbished, we had no problems whatsoever.

It's location. Have stayed here previously before the upgrades when it was more 'old-fashioned', but still warm and friendly.

The new design has removed a bit of the character. And the first room we stayed in was beautifully designed, but a few small aspects lacked attention (Couldn't fill up kettle in new 'designer' sink as it was too small.)

the bedroom was very warm and I could imagine in the summer could be very uncomfortable due to no air conditioning
