The staff was lovely. The breakfast was good.
We had a en suite bathroom, but the toilet tank didn't flush so we had to fill the bowl with water to flush the toilet. No repair people available. Minor inconvenience I suppose. Three flights of steep stairs made getting to the room with a heavy bag a bit of a challenge.
Very helpful, hardworking and sincere staff, all of them
Building radiates heat in the summer months. No ventilation
Food and shower/bathroom
Reception were fab, knowledgeable& very helpful. We stayed whilst at commonwealth games so paid over the odds but other than that we found it just what we wanted. Excellent location for transport links, for tourist attractions, some great shops, beautiful gardens...great.
Couple of staff couldn't speak very good English so couldn't take breakfast orders properly, but they were very helpful.
location free wifi quiet room
grotty, is more of an old fashioned guest house or b and b not a hotel bathroom plumbing dubious and smelly shower broken carpet sticky, run down
The friendly staff and the location Good for a basic b&b. A little overpriced but to be expected given the major event going on in the city. Breakfast was good with good choice of hot and cold items.
Wifi speed a bit slow but adequate. Towels were not always pristine. Pointed this out to staff on my departure. Dining room staff did not smile at all or say good morning.
Lack of WiFi in the room.
Great room, good breakfast, highly recommend
The dining area is far too small to accommodate the number of guests. On the morning we stayed this resulted at least four couples/families waiting outside to be served. Once inside we gathered that the service was not particularly quick. In the end we were unable to get a table before the end of breakfast and had to leave with nothing. It would have been better if we had been asked to book a time.
The location was excellent for getting around Glasgow. The staff were nothing short of delightful. Breakfasts very nice. Rooms simply furnished but very clean and fresh.Excellent value for money. Receptionist [female scottish lady]couldn't have done more for us and was a real asset to the team.
The converted church pub opposite was extremely noisy in the late hours. Parking was limited however we were able to secure a tight space in the rear car-park which held approx 5 cars.
Location Closeby to shops/restaurants Nice bathroom Slept really well - quiet street
Door handle was almost about to fall off. Not screwed in properly WIFI code doesn't work. Has no connection so if you are on business, this is not ideal! Breakfast was terrible! If you want to stay here, don't pay extra for it as not worth it. 1st night, i had scottish breakfast - probably the worst ever! 2nd night - i didn't bother eating, as i prefer my beauty sleep :)
Staff - friendly and helpful. Breakfast - good Room - quant but clean and adequate
Hotel could do with a good tidy up. Porridge would be nice. No full size wardrobe.
Nice staff, nice breakfast
Very uncomfortable bed and pillows
Great location, friendly staff and very good value for money.
location was excllent
no washing products for showering
Location and manager at hotel was simply adorable and her guidance and honest opinion deserves all the praise and worth appreciating. Security as my luggage was remain at reception area for 24 hours.
Check out time it's too earlier at 11am and no lifts available
Location and price
Could not open any windows as room recently painted. Reported following morning and resolved. Wished we had reported sooner as our impression would probably have been better.
Location very good for Glasgow West End. Price is fair and reflects the negative comments.
Generally the decor and facilities require significant upgrading / modernisation. Breakfast was a basic example of a Scottish cooked.
Good location in West End.
Not a lot! Location was good.
Smoker hanging out a window when we arrived, rude owner, dirty curtains, wardrobes didn't have doors on, room not that clean and bed hard.
Car park was full. Breakfast room too small. Staff struggled to understand English and Unattentive. Poor breakfast. Rated fair as it was only 50 quid for the room.
Staff and breakfast and lack of car park availability
Mold in the showers
We like to stay near the centre .
The room was freshly painted and was not possible open the windows and air the room.
Breakfast was tasty and substantial. Decor and style of building
Breakfast ended a little early at 9.00am
Hotel was clean and the welocme was friendly. It is ideally situation for us opposite the Oran Mor which was where the concert we were going to was held.
our room was on the road side of the building so there was a lot of traffic noise.
