bedroom was ok nothing moire though

the owners attitude was dreadful. i was asked if i wanted breaksat (i`d paid for bed and breakfast) and asked for it at 07.45 as i had a train to catch at 08.51 ................ i was told that breakfast was at 08.30 and only 08.30 no alternative was available and no apology offered. dreadful customer service

The sea views.

The hotel was old fashioned and shabby.Plastic cloths on tables!.Room was cramped with old furniture. Although we had clean towels, the previous occupants used towels were still hanging in the shower/W.C. Cubicle!! (We deposited on landing as no staff around to give them to.) Shower/W.C. Was in a square cubicle in bedroom with old sliding door to separate it off. - Very basic. Not worth the money!

I love The Clifton due to its atmosphere, mainly due to the Lovely Lydia's happy way, always smiling and making you feel at home! I like that its near to Heysham Village so a lovely walk down the prom.....

I see there is dated furniture but to me the ambiance makes up for that and we are in difficult financial times....

Cleanliness and friendly, obliging staff. Lovely view over Morecambe Bay from bedroom, dining and sitiing rooms. Quiet. Good value for money.

We were on the top floor and there was a step near the top that was very narrow. We needed to place our feet carefully at that point. The rest of the stairs, that we used, were reasonably wide. There is a small lift so this would not necessarily be a problem for older people.

The owner was very pleasant and engaging and we enjoyed the full english breakfast in the dining room, which has views across the bay towards the mountains.

No separate way of heating the room if the hotel radiators were not on. Bedding and curtains looking tired and dated, but everything was clean and tidy.

Somewhere to put bicycles

The bathroom was dreadful no bath just shower very small. Bedroom very small. Breakfast poor bacon over cooked, no choice of fruit or cereal

Seaview is quite nice though the low tide during my stay stole the beauty somehow.

Furniture is a bit old, The life is super small and has sudden movement during start and end. basically the whole building is old. Breakfast serving time is too short, only 45 mins. it might be a problem for those we need to leave early or want to get up late. The staff didn't serve the food in the sequence of arriving, but the distance from kitchen. But the full english breakfast is quite ok. no private carpark, i had to park my car on the street

Room was smelly and the toilet was still dirty from the last person

The friendliness of the staff and the excellent view from the bay window of the bedroom.

An old fashioned B&B. Old building with decoration that belongs to the sixties. It waom comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent.

The car park was hard to find hidden up a small alley at the back of the hotel. Ver difficult to manoever my large car into. Would be fine for samll cars.

Cheap & Cheerful. Ideal for a bunch of golfers (as we were).

Wise and compassionate proprietors good breakfast dreadful guests

Great sea view & breakfast was very nice. Owner was very welcoming and helpful.

En-suite was so small that you couldn't open the door properly
