Set in a good location
The bath/shower was next to window which was clear not frosted glass, although a blind was provided.
Good breakfast. Clean rooms and comfortable bed
Very noisy. Slamming of doors at all hours was very annoying
Comfort able beds. good location. Shower gel smelt delicious - chocolate smell. Breakfast. Value for money.
Tired looking inside and out. small bathroom. old fashioned.
Good location, great breakfast and lovely owner
My mattress was broken. Mind you because of work I still slept ok
staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. only slight thing was a split in the hose for the shower.
would have preferred continental breakfast as not keen on cooked english breakfasts but they did offer variations eg scrambled egg on toast etc
Very close to town centre yet still pretty quiet. Very nice, helpful owner and staff. Good value for money.
Just had a single room that was quite small so no chair to sit in or desk when I worked at night.
Staff were friendly, close to market place and train station, bedding was clean
shower was tiny and moldy, soap dish on shower bar was filthy. Shower/ loo room so small it was awkward to close door, damp patch on ceiling in the corner probably underneath another shower. Antiquated sort of radio/intercom wooden box which was barely attached to the wall, don't know if it works' would not dare to try it. tiny window which would not lock and was covered in years of grime. Hardly any room to move, the double bed left just about enough space to get to shower room. tiny desk with unusable drawers due to the state of them. Had to ask for a haidryer , apparently there is only one to share between the rooms so had to borrow on from the staff also had to ask twice as they forgot . The bedroom and dining room looked very tired and everything quite shabby and no, I don't mean shabby-chic! And above all very noisy with all the fire doors slamming till late at night. Not a pleasant experience
The hotel was close to the town centre and local bus/train station so easy access to everything really. The staff were all polite and friendly and there was no curfew. Tea and coffee making facilities were readily available in our room and a freeview television was also in there. The bed was comfy enough.
The en-suite was quite small and difficult to move around in.
Best hotel I have stayed in for ages.
I liked the customer service of this hotel throughout the time we was there and overall the location was not too isolated from the town but far enough so it can be a relaxing stay without the noise of the night life and traffic.
The hotel room was majorly over priced for what we received, the basics of the room i.e. bed, bathroom and carpet was clean but the other features such as the furniture and even the remote control had many layers of dust and dirt, the walls and ceiling had also much dirt upon them and even had many holes in them and countless cobwebs around the room. We was initially expecting to pay £60, but upon leaving we was charged an additional £5 which was not explained to us what for. Overall the stay was poor and the very over priced.
