Staff and location best things. Car parking difficult and paying extra for breakfast cereal even if you have a full English breakfast.

The location Noisy room over bar - which went on until 2.00 am - no hot water and breakfast not available until 8 on Sunday and I had to leave by 07.30 and was not provided with even a simple uncooked breakfast.

Front of house service was excellent.. Room was very very tiny, nothing like the photos on the web site, the music from the club underneath our room was unbearable. There is a couple of bannister spindles missing from the stairs leaving gaps for small children to fall through.

The atmosphere in the hotel was sensational from the cafe in reception, to the restaurant/bar in the cellar. The room was compact, but adequatly kitted out for the stay. Definitely recommend this hotel as a great stop over for a business trip.

Services and facilities were excellent and the hotel had some lovely extra little touches. Very central. Lovely cafe and great access to a restaurant with good food. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The room was lovely and very welcoming with the towel swans folded on the bed. Loved the fresh tea and coffee provided and we will definitely be staying there again in the future.

It's location The room we were given was next to another room ,which may have been a storage/staff room ,and at 6.30 a m there was heavy foot fall lasting approximately an hour ,with loud creaking floorboards which sounded like someone in our room ,we were also woken at 1 .00a m by thr fire alarm which was switched off by the time we had risen and put on shoes and coats and no explaination was given for this, Ours was a midweek stay and we had expected a quiet stay which it was far from When checking out there was no enquiry as to how our stay had been ,really not a very friendly reception all told ,They have another premesis ,a few dors down The Washington ,which is a b & b ,we might try that next time.

Pretty much got what we expected for the price. The hotel and the hotel room were rather neat, some complimentary fruits and tea/coffee, friendly staff and a working tv and most importantly central heating (:d), the latter one being rather rare in the hotels I visited in uk.. Had to get the water for the tea/coffee from the sink in the bathroom since there wasn't another one, and I didn't like the fact that just outside the hotel was some big beer tent, I think it belonged to a bar in the same building as the hotel. No elevator in the hotel either, but that didn't really bother us. The hotel was also rather hard to come by, the bus driver was kindly enough to show us where it was (had to walk 100 metres or so from the nearest bus stop), but we still managed to walk by it a couple of times...

It's a no frills hotel perfect for a place to sleep when you are spending little time in the hotel. Parking was a problem - but they did have a Christmas Function going on, and I arrived pretty late.

The secure parking and location. Staff were at best aloof and couldn't care less; basically the secure parking really was the best part of the stay!! Expensive for what you got - will not make this mistake again.

The single room was very small but It was central, warm, clean and quiet, with parking (albeit limited). The staff were friendly and there was a great pub/bar underneath (but pricey drinks). Breakfast was reasonable. I would definitely stay again, but for the size of room I would only be interested in paying the reduced rate from Booking.com.

Location about the only good thing I can say, I'm afraid Tiny room and bathroom. I booked a double just for myself as had read rooms were small, but the room was barely a single with a double bed. Staff not very friendly then I discovered I had to pay an extra £23 to park my car in an old shed for 3 days.

The staff were friendly, the ethos behind the cafe and restaurant is great with the organic and locally sourced produce. Unfortunately the hotel is pretty tired looking once you get into the actual accommodation, they obviously can't close it down for a refurb but it does need something doing to it, the cost I think is based on location as opposed to how great the rooms are.

The location was good Rooms were very outdated, walls were very thin and kept me awake during the night, so I had to check iut early. £40 per night means that you cannot complain too much!
