Staff very helpful. Single room was good. Food - breakfast very good. Evening menu interesting and good. Beware rooms facing side street with Aces Bar opposite. Very noisy until 3 A.M. Sunday morning |

The reception staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Racks bar and restaurant extemely popular with locals and served fantastic food. Having the option to pay for secure parking was worth it. Handy for shopping and also, more importantly, the Banksy exhibition. If the hotel added any more then it would justifiably charge more - take your choice! |

The friendly and efficient attitude of the staff. Comfortable, clean beds. Efficient shower. Availability of lift. Good quality of restaurant food and service. Too hot and stuffy/poor insulation. Noise from the bar at night. Poor condition of room furnishings/decoration. General decrepitude of building. Lack of disabled entrance slope - too many steps. |

Although small the room was comfortable, clean and well-stocked. Staff were attentive, friendly and amenable. The Hotel had good facilities. Rooms were swapped without prior notice - my twin room was changed for two singles which, had I been travelling with my younger son, would have been unnacceptable. Finding a parking space on a Friday night was a nightmare and even after being given the code to the hotel garage, was told it may be full! (it wasn't). The gentleman on reception expresed surprised that I had not been permitted to reserve parking prior to arrival when I telephoned to do just that the week before. |

It was reasonably clean, with free coffee, tea and fruits. Quite neighbourhood and close to the University. Staff at reception and breakfast room were friendly. I also liked the bar - should try it. You have to pay for toiletries - even shampoo. Also the wireless internet is very expensive. It should be free! |

The staff, particularly the receptionist, were excellent; friendly, efficient and willing to advise where required. Tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit in our room were much appreciated. The catering was of a high standard. It was very hot in the hotel, especially in our third floor room. Air conditioning (or even a fan) would have been a big bonus. |

We loved the area. We thought the hotel was great and despite our comment about the bed (below) we will book there again. The hotel was a focal point within the locality. It was very popular with locals who wanted to eat and drink there. We loved the fact that there was freshly ground coffee in our room. |

Clifton is a nice area and the outside seating area where relaxing. The entrance and lobbies a lovely. The receptionist was fantastic, great asset to the hotel. There was nothing I could say I didn't like although our room could do with a little refurb and was a surprise after seeing the entrance and the lobbies, but it was perfectly adequate. Only one complaint...the hotel and the bar below don't do liquer coffees.!!! |

The location is well located for many of the Bristol attractions and the breakfast was very good. Staying for one night on a bed and breakfast basis I did not use many of the facilities. My single room on the top floor was very hot and impossible to cool. The sound proofing between the rooms is inadequate - a loud snorer in the next room made sleep difficult. It is a brilliant idea providing loose tea in the rooms but not easy to use in the absence of a small teapot - thought also needs to be given to the disposal used tea leaves. |

Staff were absolutely excellent. Very hard working (not enough of them - someone was off sick but others covered well). Very nice atmosphere. Very noisy room. Shower was not good at all - too slow flow and not good temperature regulation. |

The level of service was fantastic. For the price we paid we certainly didn't expect two large bundles of towels, a small fruit bowl, tea & coffee making facilities, a comfy bed, tv & even a hair dryer! The room was so clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. Another bonus was the peace and quiet. It's in a great area of Bristol, handy for shopping and city breaks. |
