We had a very enjoyable three night stay at the Cliffs, the food was very good and the dining room staff were really pleasant , helpful . and eager to please. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were wonderful and spotlessly clean. We would most certainly stay there again and again and again. The only fault was the bar prices .

The attention we received when we asked for a different room. We were sorted out without any fuss. We found the food excellent, a varied menu with polite staff. The food was the best we have ever tasted, there wasn't long to wait between courses in fact we were amazed at how prompt the service was. A very pleasant stay and we will be booking again in the near future. We also were pleased with the location, the bus and tram stops were directly outside the hotel making it an ideal place to stay.

I was told they had disabled parking, which suited me as I was alone with my 3 yr old disabled son. I arrived to find none available, I had to park 3 streets away and cope with my son and all our luggage, no help offered. It was totally unsafe to leave him while I parked and got the luggage. When I asked they said they only help in the hotel. The main life wasnt working so there was a queue for a tiny goods lift, they knew my son was disabled but I ended up on the 2nd floor right at the end. No concern for him or me. We was kept awake until 3am due to rooms making noise due to a party. I tried calling reception on a number of times but no-one answered, extremly poor service My son was already in bed (thankfully he is deaf with all the nosie) which meant I could not leave him alone at the age of 3yrs old. To wake him up to get dressed and have all his equipment put on to go downstairs was too much on top of people in the corridor shouting, really concerned me on my safety. I complained in the morning but the excuse was the phones must have not been working and I should have come down to reception (already explained the issue). I had to pay before we stayed so could not demand a discount, I will be complaining direct to head office. I would never use this hotel or ever recommend it. Its the worse hotel I have ever stayed in.

The service and the staff were good and the meals and meal service was very good. The rooms were clean and tidy but were very small. Any longer than a couple of days would have been unpleasant.

Breakfast was very disorganised, someone sat in our table whilst we were at the buffet table, the tables were too close together and it felt like we were sat with the people next to us. The waitress was miserable.

Ive stayed at the Cliffs before so I knew that what the Cliffs offers is very good. On this occasion I was particularly impresse with the service in the dining room, a young man with an eastern european accent was our server and he was exceptionally good, in particular he seemed to be really going out of his way to offer the best possible service he could, he was over and above my expectations. I myself am a retired hotel gm and he just stood out as brilliant and I also noticed that he was the same with all your guests. In general all your staff were good. Regards Michael I understand my stay was a Sunday evening and the hotel was not full and therefore not many guest in the room to see the show, but I thought the entertainment offering was a little short. The singer 'Michael Cosgrove was very good but he was not on long enough and nothing followed him. This is not a grumble or complaint, merely an observation

It was value for money and that is paramount for people today. The tram service, it stops on your door step, that puts your hotel within reach of all of Blackpool and Fleetwood, it would also stand to you if you offered a shuttle service to Blackpool Airport, looking after your guests before they arrive at the hotel is 5 *****

“My first time staying at a hotel in the UK, so nothing to compare it with, but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were polite, helpful & friendly, hotel was clean & warm, & I was allocated a room that I considered to be excellent value for money. The food was good (particularly the salmon) & the bar had a decent range of draught options available (including an excellent mild).” Aleks, Birmingham |
