Pipes in the room were noisey, so bad nights sleep
Polite staff and quick check-in. About standard for the amount paid.
At breakfast time, a couple on the table next to us were asked if they could take thier cup of tea to the lounge area, because the staff wished to clean up. It's a B&B so the dining area wouldn't be used for the rest of the day and it was only 10mins past the stated clean-up time.
Location. The Georgian exterior. The breakfast room was quite pleasant.
The room size, the extremely uncomfortable "double" bed and the grubby appearance of bedding, carpets, paintwork, etc. Never again I'm afraid.
breakfast & location
Switched me into a single room when double booked, uncomfortable bed, no response to email complaint.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely cooked breakfast. Nice hospitality tray. Generally what we would expect for the price.
Room had a funny damp smell. We were at the front on the ground floor which was a bit noisy on a Saturday night but otherwise fine.
Location Staff friendly and efficient
Attic bedroom with sloping ceilings. Toilet awkwardly situated for a tall man. Waterproof mattress cover. Polycotton bedding.
Parking and smell of room. No lift
My first impression of the rooom was that it was average but I was too quick to judge and came to appreciate its strengths . It was very well kept and with excellent "en suite" . A lovely staff and wonderful breakfast at an exceptional price and a short walk into city center.
Lovely rooms and clean. Staff very friendly.
Breakfast Service is good
Facilities are too old
Central location Free wifi Excellent breakfast
Roadside parking. I suspect we were lucky having got a space very nearby. Not a problem if you travel by train. Station just round the corner.
The breakfast was very enjoyable, the hole stay was great.
shower not hot enough, would not stay hot. Problems with water feed i think.shower door got jammed. Apart from that everything was great.
initially given a room on the 4th level but with no stairs. After that, we were given a lower level room, but would have requested this in the first place. The bedding seemed very old and possibly dirty
Location is great near to city centre and bus route to Exmouth and main station. Parking in street worked fine for us. Problem with bathroom fan was quickly resolved with move to another (better) room. Comfortable bed.
Wife didn't enjoy two flights of stairs.
Great location. Able to find a parking spot. Good breakfast.
Room was small but I guess that's what I paid for.
friendly and helpful staff. The worker helped me to carry up my baggage
Good location and clean.
Fine for one or two nights. But not for longer stays
good central location, comfortable rooms and a pleasant atmosphere. staff helpful. Clean, bright and well run. very good value.
permit parking only but it was possible to find a space.
I have stayed at the Clock Tower before on business and have always found the staff very welcomng and the people who stay friendly. The breakfast is always good. The hotel is located within easy reach of shops, restaurants and places to eat.
On this occasion I found the decor of the room a little tired, the toilet roll holder was loose and so was the television stand. Milk - the milk I used for my second cup of coffee was starting to go off, staff need to be aware that when replenishing milk to check the milk at the bottom which probably doesn't always get used.
Overall better than average at a good price and a nice breakfast
no lift but 3 floors, should have asked I guess but never thought
Homely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Difficulty dropping off and loading luggage due to parking restrictions.
Everything was brilliant . Staff very friendly and room very clean. Breakfast was also very good, made a great start to the day and they coped very well under pressure especially as some other guests were quite rude to them!
Room was a bit too hot I did have the window open but then it was very noisey at 5 am! However the second night was much better
Location easy for stations, city centre and sightseeing. Full English breakfast tasty. reasonable priced hotel.
Room small for a twin
The staff we spoke to were excellent
The electric shower wasn't working properly
The full English breakfast was good,
The rooms are drab and depressing, as are the bathrooms. Dark blue and brown bed linen is not a good choice
