Helpfulness/friendlinessof staff. Location very convenient for University/shops. Ambience of hotel.
Only there for 1night so not a problem but room very compact. Hooks for longer garments would be good as wardrobe half-size only.
The hotel is close to the High Street, clean and comfortable.
Breakfast closed a bit early. I missed my breakfast as i used to wake up late.
Location perfect for shopping 3 mins walk from exeter Central station. Lovely landlady and staff Had top floor room and was so quiet. Breakfast fab. Parking wasn't an issue plenty of spaces on surrounding roads. Tea making facilities in rooms. Definitely recommend
Staff and central fair priced location
Parking, as outside is a no no ....... difficult with luggage but there are local permits for parking, OK if it's not raining! But can't have it all for the money!
This hotel is badly in need of repairs. For the price it's not good value . Heating not working, bed linen not fresh and pillows absolutely appalling.need more experienced front desk.
Ideal for shopping
Staff were nice, breakfast was nice.Close to town handy ,room was fine didn,t really stay long enough in the hotel but it was good had wifi and tv + kettle.
Bathroom a bit small but it might be just the room i had + the loo seat kept on falling down not a big problem.Parking is a bit of a pain but that not the hotel fault it,s just Exeter.
The room was too small for a double it was more like a single room with a double bed, not enough space for clothes
Helpful staff, very clean, free wifi,
Small room on top floor quite a climb, small uncomfortable bed
Proximity to town centre Excellent breakfast Helpful staff
Bathroom: shower not working properly, fan runs for 30 minutes after light on.
Clean and close to town
Room 34 at top of roof had limited head room on one side but at price paid was acceptable
Brilliant location for the city and station. Clean and tidy and helpful staff.
Noise of late night guests returning and smoke in lounge drifting in from office.
Location Excellent room facilities I had a single room. Small bathroom but well laid out. With all the things you forget to bring. Large bath towel that actually went all the way round you. Efficient staff excellent breakfast.
Central location En suite
The linen did not smell clean on either of the two beds. The second bed in the family room was a poor excuse & the pillows had just been tossed into the middle of it. The sound proofing from the room above was non existent.
The service and the positive attitude of the staff. The location.
Lack of parking. Room a bit cramped and bathroom very basic. Lack of hanging space in the bedroom and bed linen a bit "confused": halfway between a duvet and sheets. TV very DIY: not plugged in and at an angle.
useful advice re restaurants pubs. Help offered with luggage up the steep stairs to room
Room had nowhere to hang towels coats etc. Someone opened our bedroom door during evening with a key. This was dispute TV on. ?? Parking permit for on RDS nearby fine. But did not know where to park when booking in.
Friendly staff Room comfortable Bed very comfortable Warm room Good breakfast
Shower needs updating Coat hangers insecure
ROOM ON TOP FLOOR
Shower worked intermittently, sometimes hot, sometimes cold. Rooms rather small.
convenient for the city
the shower room was below the standard I would expect and certainly needs refurbishment
good location nice staff As we were visiting our daughter she was welcome to join breakfast for a very reasonable price
Quiet and comfortable during shoulder months and very central.
Facilities for a hospitality industry business were minimal. No promotional material available for visiting surrounding area. No parking and no restaurant for meals other than breakfast.
Room was nice and dark (no external bright lighting) which I had made a special request. I also thought it was unusually quirky to find hotel was just a few doors along from the local prison! Wouldn't normally be the case.
The single room was actually rather small & bathroom washbasin tiny. Though shower was OK. Perhaps they were copying cell-like nature of prison next door!
Breakfast very good
